Chapter 224 - 223. Rumble At Florian (4)
"Why am I dealing with this shit?!" I mumbled feeling the Saint kid clinging to me.
I looked around for a place to drop the kid off and I spotted the bell tower like thing and fixed it as a target.
"Hold on, kid." I said as I held him securely before flying towards the bell tower.
The arrows and the knights were somehow consistent as I reached the bell tower and lowered the kid at a little distance away from the edge.
"There you go, someone will come get you." I said as I turned but halted as he gripped my sleeve.
"Wait! Please don’t leave!"
"Hah? If I don’t leave they’ll keep attacking and I don’t want to-" I gasped as I looked at his tears filled eyes.
"Please don’t leave!" He pleaded and my blood sizzled under my skin.
It was as if something within me was growling and trying to surface but I shook my head pushing my growing instinctual aspect back down.
"I need to leave, kid. Let go."
His lower lip quivered and a tear drop swelled at the corner of his left eye before it slid down and I sighed. I reached out and gently wiped it away. The kid snuggled his face in my palm making me frown.
