Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 117: Cinema

Within Damien’s chamber, the doctor was now tending to Aurora. Scarlet, her hand and attire, now stained with blood from supporting Aurora, leaned against the wall, silently weeping as she observed the pack’s doctor diligently working on Aurora.

Enoch had swiftly departed after placing Aurora on the bed, Scarlet presumed he had gone to address the culprits with Damien. Before leaving, she had felt his intense gaze on her that looked like worry. She wanted to approach him but didn’t know what to say. In addition, the situation was not one for emotions. Until Aurora regained consciousness, nothing else mattered.

"How is she?" Scarlet impatiently inquired from the doctor, who responded with a sigh that raised concern in Scarlet. She recognized that sigh all too well, and it rarely signified anything positive.

"Well, she has been left untreated for too long. Her body is rejecting the herbs," explained the pack doctor, checking Aurora’s pulse once more. Scarlet had been closely monitoring him, and it seemed he had checked her pulse seven times already. Somehow, she sensed the doctor was struggling with difficulties in treating Aurora.

"Find a way to administer the herbs to her, no matter what," Scarlet urged. She didn’t want to pressure the doctor, fearing it might lead to mistakes. Despite her attempt to sound composed, her words came out louder than intended.

"I am trying," the doctor retorted, sighing hopelessly. From the moment he entered the room and witnessed Aurora’s condition, he trembled. Merely looking at her, he sensed that her body was severely damaged beyond repair. The use of lethal weapons during her torture was interfering with his medication.

Already weakened, what could his herbs accomplish? Fear for his life prevented him from revealing the harsh reality of her fate. If she was willing to survive, she would, otherwise, her destiny lay in the hands of Goddess Selena.

"Then try harder!" Scarlet eventually yelled, unable to contain her anger. Tears flowed uncontrollably, her body shaking with anxiety. The ache in her heart reminded her of a time when she lost someone dear.

The doctor wiped the beads of sweat from his face with his handkerchief. The more he worked, the more he felt the proximity of his own death. Regardless, if she perished, he would too.

"Can I get warm water?" The doctor requested.

"Yes," Scarlet hurriedly replied, ready to do the doctor’s bidding just to get back her best friend.
