Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 108: Andrew, the shorter guard.

"Very well, do as you please," Enoch remarked, frustration evident as he angrily let his phone drop upon realizing Damien’s stubbornness. It was of no use arguing with him anymore, Damien was going to leave regardless of what he wanted.

Meanwhile, back at the mansion, Elder Timotei, with a determined expression, made his way toward Aurora’s cell, prepared to set things in motion. If he needed to push her to the brink of confession by any means necessary, he was ready to do so. Time was of the essence, and he had no intention of wasting it.

Upon reaching the inner part of the dungeon, two guards stationed in front of Aurora’s cell appeared visibly fatigued from their duty of guarding her in the dungeon’s darkest recesses. They were leaning against her cell door, and their surprise was evident when they spotted Elder Timotei.

"Elder!" The shorter of the two guards exclaimed, clearly taken aback by his early presence. Normally, no matter how dangerous the criminal, it was unusual for someone to sacrifice their sleep to check on a prisoner. Furthermore, Aurora didn’t look like a typical criminal, and the task of watching over a lifeless and seemingly innocent woman had taken a toll on them.

Andrew, the shorter guard, couldn’t help but wonder why they couldn’t accept her innocence and simply banish her. However, he was just a guard and had no say in the mansion’s decisions.

"Is she awake?" Ignoring their surprised expressions, Elder Timotei inquired, taking a step closer to them, even though he couldn’t see Aurora through the enclosed cell.

The limited ventilation in the room was designed to weaken any potential threat, but Elder Timotei believed Aurora was far from a threat and appeared more human. Consequently, she could die from lack of air if left there for more than a week. He sympathized with her but believed he was acting in the best interest of their pack.

For the pack to prosper, they needed to crown the perfect Luna, not a mere pawn. Moreover, Damien didn’t seem committed to Aurora, and if she were to become Luna, she might not be taken seriously by the pack if the Alpha continued to neglect her.

In his view, this was the right course of action. "Yes, she hasn’t closed her eyes since she was locked in," Andrew replied, his heart aching at the thought of her suffering.
