Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 103: Charlotte’s failed plan

Theresa found herself increasingly irritated since her marriage into this pack. They insisted on imprisoning her without substantial evidence, which, in her view, was a crime in itself.

No matter how serious the offense was, the criminal had a right to be tried unless judgment was directly passed down by the Alpha. And most times, as much as the Alpha was strict with his rules, he was still humane when it came to punishing offenders.

What was more, they were imprisoning the Alpha’s woman with the excuse of her stealing. Wasn’t it obvious that they were trying to get rid of Aurora, because she posed a threat to Luna’s future position?

Theresa couldn’t fathom that Aurora, a person she had always seen as bold and incapable of criminal activities, would stoop so low as to engage in robbery. Despite their past differences, she felt at ease in Aurora’s presence. She never would have believed she’d defend Aurora one day, but their relationship had improved significantly.

Aurora was a delightful companion, hardworking, sharp, strong, and more intelligent than most women Damien had been associated with. The moment Theresa saw Aurora at that auction, she knew she shouldn’t let her go. Now, they were attempting to remove the only person who had managed to change her son’s emotions. She was determined to get to the bottom of the matter.

Feeling uncomfortable in their presence, Theresa expressed, "If that’s all, I would like to take my leave."

"You have your way, Theresa," Elder Timotei replied, signifying her freedom to do as she pleased. Sarah and her mother exchanged discreet glances, with Sarah giving Laura a hesitant smile before turning her attention back to Elder Timotei.

"I am sure we won’t have any problems for now," Elder Timotei conveyed and resumed eating. Observing Elder Timotei’s apparent lack of concern, Sarah decided to set aside her worries and focus on their next step, which involved getting the rogue they had brought in to confess against Aurora.

If their plan with the crazy drop managed to get the rogue to do their bidding, then she was sure Aurora was as good as dead. All she needed was the strong support of the Elders, and with the look of things, they seemed determined to get rid of Aurora more than she wanted. Though Elder Timotei had yet to support her, she believed he was soon to ask for an audience with her.
