Chapter 5: His mark
She cried out in pain, but it quickly turned into pleasure when he licked the spot he had marked. She was surprised when he bit her, but it felt surprisingly good and not disgusting. Her eyes widened as she remembered something, did he just mark her as his?
"Relax, I just did a little trick to make them think we had something," he reassured her, sensing her fear, and let go of her.
Stepping back, he instructed her," Let them find you naked. Have a good night." With that, he left her alone in the room.
Aurora leaned against the table for support, taking shaky breaths. She was grateful that he didn't touch her, confirming her belief that he wasn't interested in physical pleasure. He seemed more like a strict leader than a lustful one.
She picked up her clothes, folded them on the table, and then went to lie on the bed as he had instructed, naked. She blushed as she remembered the way he had grabbed her. She had never been so close to a man before. His decision not to touch her indicated that he wasn't desperate for an heir.
Thinking back, she realized that she had never shared any intimate moments with Lucas. She couldn't really blame him for sleeping with another woman since men have urges and Alphas were known for their high libidos. She wished Lucas had the same personality as the Alpha she was with now. Lucas was so blinded by werewolf customs that he was willing to destroy an entire family to uphold them.
As she made herself comfortable in bed, she perceived a pleasant deep forest scent, combined with an earthly moss scent that reminded her of the Alpha. It was soothing to inhale, but she scolded herself for indulging in such thoughts. She had to focus on avenging her parents' death.
Outside the mansion...
"Why did it take you so long?" A man almost as tall as Damien asked as they drove away from the mansion.
