Chapter 174: Pass The News!
Regardless of whether Jay believed Max had truly gone broke or not, at the end of the day, Max was doing everything he could to earn money. And that money was helping. If anything, now Jay felt a little guilty for taking such a large sum, but he had already promised his little sister so much.
The least he could do was put in some effort of his own. That started with a few calls. And that was exactly what he had decided to do.
His first point of contact? The Konsoon boys.
The delinquents from school had left him a number, just in case he ever changed his mind. Honestly, Jay hadn’t thought he’d be calling them this soon.
As he scrolled through his phone and dialed, Jay felt a small knot form in his stomach. When the call connected, he didn’t waste time, he laid out Max’s request right then and there.
A beat of silence followed on the other end.
"That’s it... I mean, we can do that?" Mayson replied, his voice slightly surprised.
Mayson, the head of the Konsoon delinquents, had short, neatly kept blond hair. If not for the faint markings scattered across his face, he wouldn’t have looked like a delinquent at all. His uniform, like most of the kids at Konsoon, was perfectly intact.
"We’ll get on it right away, just as you asked. And we’ll make sure everyone sticks to it," Mayson continued. "As for tomorrow, a group of us will be there. Crondo and I will take part as well."
Jay nodded to himself. That covered the first part of Max’s request: the requirements laid out to officially join the Billion Bloodline.
The second part? That was about the bout scheduled for tomorrow.
