"I know, my love. I know," Shihan said softly, holding her tightly. "I’m so sorry for putting you through this."
Tang Xue Mei pulled back slightly, her tear-stained face a mix of joy, confusion, and a hint of anger. "Shihan, we mourned you! Shiyan has been struggling to keep the company together, thinking he’d lost his brother. I refused to believe but there was a part of me that actually did believe you were gone. And I’ll be alone once again.."
Feng Shihan’s face fell with guilt, he should have returned home, the moment he opened his eyes. "I know, I should have come home the moment I opened my eyes but I didn’t want you to see me in that state. I thought I should return home a better man.."
Tang Xue Mei shook her head, she didn’t care whatever state he was in. She just wanted to know that he was alive and that he was okay.
"Ah your thumb!"
Tang Xue Mei quickly scanned his fingers and saw that his thumbs along with the rest of his body was still intact.
"I’m okay, my leg hasn’t healed yet but it’s okay.."
Auntie Gu came out holding the tray of food when she saw Tang Xue Mei holding a man.
