Chapter 74: You’re the Coward
"Hmwewahahah!!" Radhaan just coldly stared at Johan coming at him like a wild beast, laughing at Johan's words.
"I am a coward!? I, Radhaan, the greatest lightning mage, the strongest, the fastest man, am a coward? What right do you even have to decide that?"
Radhaan took a deep breath, a grin taking over his face. "But you know what, I will say you're the greatest coward, and... I saw it, I saw your cowardice in play, not just a baseless slander," Radhaan said through gritted teeth. He would definitely not let Johan's arrogant words slide.
His grin grew wider, revealing each of his teeth and long tongue, which made him look like a beast about to devour a meal. "You gave up on Alya when she posed a threat to your status. You gave up on revenge against me when you saw how invincible I am, becoming a mindless puppet who was always in my control."
Johan's cold face flinched a little, slowing himself to stare at Radhaan. He felt his heart growing heavier by the second, as if something were stabbing it. His mind started playing back memories of Alya—the real Johan just daydreaming about crushing Radhaan's face, then greeting him with a polite smile the next morning.
Radhaan, sensing Johan's discomfort, raised his voice. "You let your bottled emotions out on your poor girl. You also saw how she wasn't a coward like you—she was brave, righteous. Not a rat like you who couldn't even protect his family. At the hearing, all you could do was hide your tail between your legs and run away from me."
"You abandoned Acier, Selene, Theo, Diana, and all the other men, women, and children that shared blood with you to people like us. If not for Leor keeping them alive as bait, they all would've died... some already did. You knew this. You knew it all. Yet you still chose to run away... Am I still a coward?" Radhaan smiled softly at the end, genuinely asking.
Sebastian's face hardened, but he said nothing. 'Master... he is not a coward, at all, he always... tried his best...' He tried to think of an argument... but couldn't. He didn't understand Johan, but he saw his eyes from the start. He knew Johan wasn't like this... but he couldn't deny Radhaan's words at all.
Johan didn't reply, increasing his speed even more, closing in on Radhaan the next second, only for Radhaan to move right behind Johan, raising his hand with a spread palm this time, intending to slap Johan on the face like a father—to humiliate him thoroughly.
