Chapter 67: Fear of Asura: The Invasion
"What? So this Fear of Asura is a stage 0 dungeon!?" Orihime asked through gritted teeth, a dungeon like this was not meant to be entered without a team of at least 8 stage 0s and 30 stage 1s. Even though this was just a clone, she would still feel pain if a monster killed 'her'.
"Yeah, but it's already conquered. Radhaan and Leor probably cleared all the oppressive monsters, just leaving the one who submitted to them alive... we still have to be careful with the traps, and navigating though." Johan said nonchalantly, hiding the fact that probably, aside from the main boss, all the monsters should've submitted to Radhaan and Leor.
Monsters followed a simple life philosophy—Bully, eat, and lead the weak; follow the strong. But Johan was confident he could defeat most of the creatures inside.
'After all, the people present here aren't normal stage 0s. They're the top of the crop. As long as we work together and handle it patiently, we should be fine...'
Johan touched the demon face of the dungeon gate, playing with the hard, but slightly greasy and oily texture of it. Traveling here wasn't a challenge as they could fly. Getting inside the small tunnel was also easy—Orihime just used paper substitution and sent a piece of paper to the edge, then teleported everyone inside.
This was the exact reason Johan brought Orihime: convenience. Her abilities were full of hexes.
Johan's eyes grew solemn as he pushed the heavy door with one hand, the door opening just slightly with a heavy creak.
Johan entered first, closely followed by Sebastian and Olivia, then Orihime after a long sigh.
Heavy darkness filled their sight—the kind of darkness that comes from closing your eyes, then covering them with your hands. They even felt momentarily dizzy before noticing the strong, bitter smell of piss, shit, burning metal, and dead bodies, which made even breathing difficult.
Johan took a deep breath and muttered, "Flame torch."
A very bright flame, only the size of Johan's palm, manifested in his hand, illuminating every corner within a few meters of their surroundings.
