Chapter 66: Just a feeling...
"Now, now, Lucifer does need to handle an entire army, and fight a war, give him a break." Leor sighed, his voice soft.
Johan's mind went blank for a second, immediately imagining a thousand ways to torture Leor, but it only took a deep breath and a blink to calm himself, listening to everything with full attention.
Radhaan smiled sheepishly, not wanting to start another fight with Lucifer. Just two days ago, Lucifer being Lucifer, mocked the way Radhaan's defense spells worked—using an electromagnetic field to block all projectiles—and literally broke it in a single slash of Kratos.
This pissed Radhaan off beyond reason. Both his organization and the world worshipped him like a god, and thus Leor got to witness one of the flashiest and greatest battles he would ever witness.
"If I didn't have limiters on me... it wouldn't even have been a fair fight!" Lucifer scoffed, reading Leor's intentions.
Radhaan's smile widened, running a hand through his red hair, patting the dust off them, "Maybe... but we are in the present, and in this present, it was a close fight. Let's consider it a tie for now."
"Hahaha, are you hearing him, Leor? His Aether reserves were nearly depleted—in a single more hour, I would've won! The audacity of this human!" Lucifer laughed mockingly, making Radhaan prepare a high-level Judgement, the strongest spell he had at the moment.
"No, Lucifer, it was really a tie. He has a contract with Indra. Once his Aether reserves depleted, he would've been forced to use his powers. Thus, it's hard to tell. You both can fight later," Leor said with a sigh.
Radhaan's eyes widened to the limit. He had told Leor this in confidence, and now he was just blurting it to his nemesis.
