Laxus, who was about to leave, looked at the silver-haired boy wrapped in numerous bandages and couldn't help but show a hint of surprise.
"You're a bit faster than I expected. And you didn't even cry when saying goodbye to the Thunder God Tribe. That's really disappointing, haha."
Noel's exposed left eye narrowed slightly.
Although the bandages covered most of his face, Laxus could still sense the teasing smile beneath them.
"Hmph, who do you think I am? That kind of overly sentimental scene from a third-rate romance novel could never happen to me." Laxus snorted disdainfully.
"Well, that's true. But... is this really okay? They've always wanted to follow you."
"...It's precisely because of that that I can't take them with me. If they stay by my side, they'll never become independent wizards. A fledgling must one day leave the nest and seek its own sky." Laxus spoke calmly, his tone distant yet peaceful, carrying a hint of melancholy and contemplation.
"Haha, how thoughtful of you."
"Enough nonsense. Why are you here? Don't tell me you're just bored and came to see me off?"
"Of course not. It's not time for you to leave yet. Fantasia is about to begin." Noel didn't answer Laxus directly but instead gave him a reminder.
