Chapter 106: Ch 106 : Expulsion
Somewhere on the continent, within a volcano.
A green sphere of light floated slowly above the volcano, eventually arriving before a massive red dragon.
"What are you doing here, Grandine?" The red dragon spoke slowly, its voice ancient and majestic.
"It's been a long time..." A voice came from within the green sphere of light, offering a casual greeting.
"Coming here and interfering—such actions should be forbidden," the red dragon replied indifferently.
"Even in this situation, you're still so rigid, Igneel? The First and Second Thrones of the Demon God's Soul are actively hunting our kind. Several of our kin have already been killed by them, and even that arrogant bastard Acnologia suffered serious injuries at the hands of the Second Throne. The world is no longer the same, Igneel." Grandine's tone was extremely grave.
"Annoying. Of course, I know all of this, Grandine. But rules are rules. Besides, do you really think that I, Igneel, would fear them? That I would be killed by them?" The red dragon let out a low, angry growl.
"Heh, who knows? Whatever... Speaking of which, that kid is really reckless. Who do they take after? But luck won't always be on their side. That child might die one day." Grandine chose to change the subject.
"Get out! Stop interfering with humans!! Do you want to anger me, Igneel?" Igneel glared at the green sphere of light, his voice cold.
"Yeah... No matter how much we worry, there's nothing we can do. All that's left is to believe in the strength of humanity. Besides... if that one from the Demon God's Soul becomes free to act, and they decide to make a move, we won't be able to interfere. The only thing we can do is believe in the humans." Grandine's voice carried both helplessness and gravity toward the end.
