"According to our frontline reporters, the mutant involved in the incident is just a teenage boy. He allegedly attacked six people and froze them solid. We have reason to believe that mutants are inherently violent—"
"Damn it!" George growled, slamming his fist against the desk. He was at the police station, staring in disbelief at the sensationalist nonsense spewing from the TV. "These damn TV stations are always making things worse!"
"Boss, don't do this," a fellow officer said, trying to calm him down. "This isn't the first time you've dealt with this kind of garbage reporting. They love drama, they exaggerate everything to boost ratings. It's not worth getting worked up over."
George sighed heavily. "I just don't get it. What the hell are these reporters trying to do? Do they even have a conscience anymore?"
"It looks like we'll have to keep that poor kid in holding for a few more days," the officer said.
Everyone in the station shared George's sentiment. They all sympathized with Bobby. Technically, he was the victim—but now the real perpetrator was nowhere to be found, and Bobby was being painted as the villain.

"We have a new mutant—one of our own—and now Bobby's in trouble. I need you to bring him back," Professor X said, his tone calm but serious. He had already sensed Bobby's emotional distress, and after catching the news, it was clear the boy was being held by the NYPD.
"Logan, take Cyclops with you to the New York Police Department," he instructed.
Logan, chomping on a cigar, gave a skeptical look. "I'm good with that, but... Cyclops? Isn't it a little early for the kid to go on a mission?"
