Chapter 44: Establishment of PPDC
The devastating Kaiju attack on Sydney once again shocked the world. With the frequency of Kaiju invasions increasing, nations fell into a state of panic.
Following the emergency meeting held the previous day, world leaders quickly realized they needed to take immediate action. Within days, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC) was officially formed. The organization's purpose was clear: defend against Kaiju attacks, repel the monstrous creatures, and ultimately destroy the wormholes to prevent further invasions.
Soon, two of the PPDC's top researchers, neuroscientists Catherine and Jasper, began developing the first-generation mobile mecha. Catherine had already shared the advanced Pons System—the core of the mecha's control mechanism—with Chinq. Due to their early start and unified national support, China mecha program progressed faster than the PPDC's.
As time passed, both sides gradually neared the completion of their mechas. China first prototype, named Hou Yi, was finally unveiled. Just two days later, the PPDC also completed its own prototype.
Once the preliminary debugging was done and no major issues were found, Wang Tao quickly notified Su Xiuyu and his team.

The First Test Drive
"Oh? That fast? The prototype is already out today?" Su Xiuyu's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Can I try it out?"
Lately, there hadn't been any Kaiju invasions, leaving Su Xiuyu with little to do. Most of his time was spent accompanying Mito—shopping, strolling, and experiencing the comforts of modern society. Though pleasant at first, it had become rather dull.
As a modern man in his previous life, this near-identical version of contemporary society no longer held much novelty for him. However, Mito's persistent persuasion made it difficult for him to refuse her company.
Meanwhile, Madara and Izuna took the Uchiha clan to explore the world, interacting with ordinary citizens to gain insight into the lives of common people. Despite being in a different reality, Madara remained dedicated to his dream. He seemed determined to learn from this world's experience in maintaining peace, perhaps hoping to apply it to the Ninja World someday.
