Chapter 784

Chapter 784

The paper that the wizards from Nermador wanted Anton to fill out consisted of information that they would need so they would know how they could fully utilize his abilities based on the questions that he needed to answer, so he wrote down the details.

Anton noted down his name and his wizard rank first, then he answered one of the most pertinent questions, which was to list some of his most powerful spells. At least, the paper did not require him to list all of his spells, just some. Still, he made sure to emphasize his most powerful attack spells like Frozen Orb, Meteor, Hydra, and Chain Lightning. He also listed some of his single attack spells, like Ice Blast and Lightning. He would have listed Fireball as well, but it was also an area of attack spell.

The next spells that he listed were his Teleport and Telekinesis, emphasizing that because of his Telekinesis, he could fly.

He also listed some of his summoning capabilities, but he didn’t include the skills from his other Diablo II characters because there were simply too many of them. He did not intend to hide anything since, to Anton, this fight against the coalition would be one of his most important fight and he did not want any detrimental things to happen because of his not providing enough information to his future comrades. Basically, the whole paper indicated that his abilities were combat and movement-oriented with some summons for support.

One thing he did not mention was his ability to construct a portal. He knew that it was impossible that wizards from Ormunda would not be here. Once the Ormundans had established their portals using his town portal scrolls, it was inevitable that wizards from the Gale Continent would arrive, either to help or to gather information about the undead.

Anton knew that it was very important to be very detailed about his capabilities, so he wrote down everything that he could think of that would most likely allow the wizards of Nermador to utilize his abilities to the maximum advantage. Because of that, it took him several minutes to complete the paper, and, thankfully, the wizard waiting was patient. What surprised Anton was that it looked like the wizard was there for him alone because no one entered after him.

“Are you assigned just for me?” Anton asked the recruiter while he was writing. He could not help but be curious.

“Yes. Wizards above the archmage level are assigned a dedicated person to assist them in completing the required information gathering,” The archmage level wizard called Isaiah said.

After Anton finished filling out the paper, he was told to wait in a lounge while they reviewed the information he had provided. Isaiah led him to a nice room with complete facilities and servants to cater to whatever he would need. He sat on one of the comfortable sofas in the lounge and waited. One of the servants there, who, based on the aura, was around level three or level four wizard, asked him if Anton needed anything, and he just shook his head and waited. While doing so, he surfs the internet using his Diablo system. In Anton’s opinion, the ability to surf the internet was one of the best advantages his Diablo System could provide to him because it would prevent him from getting bored wherever he was.

Anton waited for almost two hours before Isaiah returned. He was followed by a middle-aged man, and based on the man’s stance, he should be a powerful wizard.

“Good morning, Anton Sunders. My name is Joraniah, and I’m also a Supreme Wizard. I’m the captain of the team, Gorvin. Our team specializes in highly surgical operations that need extremely fast movement. We handle rescue operations, quick deliveries, and quick assistance. I apologize that it took a while for me to arrive. I fought off more than a hundred captains to get you. Are you willing to be part of my team?” the Supreme Rank wizard asked.

Since Anton did not know anything about Nermador and how they worked, he had no choice but to accept Joraniah’s proposal. Isaiah said goodbye and left, while Joraniah asked him to follow him.

The two exited the recruitment building, and he was led into a nice mansion.

“This is the headquarters of our team. It has eight rooms plus other facilities that make this a comfortable place to stay. One for each member of the team, Gorvin. We were lacking a support wizard and were looking for one when you arrived. The fact that you also specialized in combat meant that you would not die on the first mission. Most of our support wizard did so simply because of our lack of ability to protect them due to the situation and their lack of ability to protect themselves. It’s also our fault that most of them were just archmage level, and some hadn’t even reached that. Support wizards, the ones that could cast support spells, are just too few for us to be picky.”

Once they entered the mansion, Captain Joraniah led him to the captain’s office and continued talking to him. Anton was told that after their conversation, he would meet everyone in the group.

“Mr. Sunder, we know who you are. We’ve managed to connect to Ormunda, New Drennor network. They arrived here just a couple of days ago through the dimension gate that they established in the city of Pascualini. They’ve introduced us to a revolutionary artifact called the portal scrolls, and we were informed of its ability. Unfortunately, you can only provide just twenty of them per month. Yes, we know that they’re from you, and we know that you’re supposed to remain safe in Ormunda. We still haven’t informed them that you’re the wizard who used the gate to sneak into Rendindura.”

Joraniah stopped when someone knocked on the door. When the captain allowed the person to enter, it was a servant who brought them something to drink. Anton realized that it was tea, and after they were served, the servant left, and the captain continued.

“I have no intention of informing the Ormunda’s of your presence here, since, based on what they had said, your family hadn’t stopped providing the scrolls. That meant that you can return to the Gale Continent anytime you want, is that correct?”

“Please call me Anton, and yes. I can utilize the portal spell without needing to use a scroll anytime I want. Unfortunately, I can only put the spell on a scroll once a day, which is why I limited the supply to just twenty a month. The rest was intended to be used by my family or to allow us to gather some spares if the wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor suddenly required our family to submit more scrolls. Right now, my family needs their protection, and supplying the portal scrolls allowed our family to receive that protection.”

“I understand why they require you to stay safe in Ormunda. Your potential is the greatest that I’ve ever seen in the last couple of hundred years of my life. Amazingly, you’ve reached the Supreme Rank at the age of nineteen. I’ve reached it only when I was in my eighties. Not only that, your spells are unique. The portal spell alone could change the course of history, and truly, I’m not exaggerating. Your scrolls are being studied by several divine wizards, I’m told, but up until now, they still haven’t cracked it. The only reason no one wanted to capture you and study your abilities was that, based on your history, your escape and survival abilities are through the roof, and if anybody tries something malicious towards you and your family, and you escape, they know that they made an enemy that could become one of the most powerful Divine Wizards in millennia.”
