Chapter 769
Chapter 769
Anton was lying low inside the Rose Manor. He made sure to cast the Blizzard spell converted into Mana Rain all over the manor to signal to everyone his presence, so that the people in the manor could testify that he was inside the premises of the family home.
Even if it was discovered that it was he who sneaked into Rendindura through the transport gate, Anton was not truly afraid that the wizards would treat him as someone who was a traitor to humanity. Anyone with intelligence who knew Anton and his family’s history would know that the only reason Anton would return to Rendindura was to enact some sort of revenge against the Undead Coalition. The problem was that they could not allow Anton to do what he wanted simply because he was the source of the portal scrolls that the wizards from both the kingdom of Ormunda and New Drennor were using.
Right now, the value of the portal scrolls was tremendous. It was a strategic device for many of the current and future plans that the two kingdoms had against the coalition.
Anton waited for days to check if the Ormundan wizards would send someone to the manor regarding the person who sneakily used the gate, but thankfully, there was none of that. He did receive a letter from Anders, telling him and the family that Anton’s father was safe. Anders wrote to them that he was part of an offensive team that conducted guerrilla fighting against the undead. Anton’s father's abilities, like Anders’s teleportation skill, which came from the Enigma Runeword armor, his healing aura, and his offensive skill, were considered astoundingly powerful and invaluable to the team, and he was assigned a captain position. Because of Anders's diverse skill set, people were astounded to learn that he was not a wizard.
Anders did mention that his skill set was from the Paladin class. Unfortunately, Paladin was an unknown word, and Anton’s father just reclassified the class that he had as a unique class because the truth of the matter was that it would be hard for his colleagues to understand what a Paladin was. Simply stating that it was a church warrior devoted to a faith would be confusing because Anders was not a member of any church and was not worshiping any particular god or goddess.
Anders amusingly wrote that because of the Paladin skill Cleansing Aura, which also utilized the power of the Prayer Aura, he was almost put into a healing support role. Anders was also not short of mana because just like Anton, his skill set was structured in a way that would most be useful in the real world, and that meant that the Meditation Aura was one of Anders’s highest-level auras. Thankfully, unlike the offensive auras, the beneficial auras would not work on just anyone, since Anders would need to include those who wanted to get the benefit of the auras in Anton’s father’s party system.
Anton found his Diablo System Party System a little weird. The moment Anders received the Paladin Class, his father also received the ability to create a party using Anton’s Diablo System, while Anna did not receive the same ability to create a party system. He wondered why that was so. Was it because the Sorceress class did not have any skills that buff others, except the Enchant skill in the Fire Spells tree skill?
Another weird thing was that anyone who uses Anton’s town portal scroll would receive the ability to create the party system, and the only ones who could use the portal were those who were in the scroll user’s party system. The moment the portal was dispelled, the party would automatically disband, and the user who used the scroll would lose the ability to create the Party System, unless he or she used another town portal scroll.
According to the wizard who talked to Anton regarding his situation, the wizards who were examining the scrolls were also stumped by the scroll's ability to grant the users the ability to create the party system. The wizard told Anton that they truly liked the party system because the limit that it imposed on using the portal was a form of safety measure, unlike the gates that wizards could normally build; anyone could use those, which was why Anton was able to sneak into Rendindura using the Transport Gate that the wizards had created.
While Anton was lying low, he had nothing to do, so he focused on leveling up his ladder Druid Character and finally reached the maximum level for the character. In the current ladder season, Anton had already reached the maximum level for the Sorceress, Necromancer, Warlock, and now the Druid Character. Anton laughed at the classes that he completed because they showed his preference for the magic classes.
Anton transferred the offhand unique warlock book that he was using to the real world called Ars Dul’Mephistos. He still planned to create a powerful set for the Warlock Echoing Build in the real world. He was truly impressed by the new class skillset because, basically, it was also a magic caster class. He then started a new ladder Paladin character.
When Anton felt that he had given enough time for the wizards who were guarding the transport gate to calm down, he started planning what he would do in Rendindura. Since his father was in New Drennor fighting the undead, his sister was inside the magic academy; no one would be able to monitor whatever he was doing inside the manor. Everyone assumed that he was busy with his magic in his rooms. That meant that Anton could leave and would simply tell Raymond that he was just going to entertain himself inside Ormunda. It was understandable for a rich and powerful young man such as himself to get restless and entertain himself in the city. At least, the Ormundan Wizards would be satisfied that he was not galivanting outside the kingdom.
Once he had prepared himself and the manor had been informed of his leaving, Anton immediately used the portal that was inside his bathroom. Upon reaching the other side, he immediately dispelled the portal. Thankfully, Anton was not worried about getting stuck in Rendindura since he could return anytime by portal.
After digging himself out from deep beneath the enclosure that he created to house his portal, Anton checked the surrounding area. It was the middle of the wilderness, and he did not detect any nearby manmade structure.
Looking at his compass, Anton remembered that the Undead Coalition was somewhere in the east. The place where the transport gate was built was in the west somewhere. He decided to start traveling to the south. Once he reached a city and made sure that it was not under the rule of the Undead Coalition, he would then try to check the situation in the continent.
Anton started flying, making sure that he was heading southward. He was not rushing since he actually did not know where he was and was just hoping that he stumbled into a city. He hoped that he would not encounter any powerful undead. Of course, Anton could handle those who were in the archmage rank and below, but any higher than that, there was a chance that those types of undead could escape, and the coalition would learn that a Supreme Rank wizard was flying about in the wilderness. Not that a single Supreme Wizard was important enough for such a humongous organization like the Undead Coalition, it was just that Anton did not want any complication early in his exploration of the Rendindura continent.
