Chapter 768

Chapter 768

Anton did not know how Raymond managed to learn about the confidential information transportation gate that the Ormunda Wizards had established in New Drennor, which was headed towards Rendindura. The important fact was that the gate was supposed to remain open for only seven days, starting the day before.

That meant that Anton did not have much time. He needed to get to New Drennor and somehow enter the transportation gate without causing too much disturbance, which he knew was impossible. Once he was in Rendindura, it would be easy enough for him to get back to the Rose Manor.

That was also the reasoning that the wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor had made regarding traveling to Rendindura. Because of Anton’s town portal scrolls, the means to travel back and forth between two continents would be much more economical.

The wizards from both kingdom was forced to spend a huge amount of resources to open a transportation gate since it would take an extremely long amount of time for someone to travel to Rendindura by ship just to get there and use one of Anton’s town portal scrolls.

The moment Anton decided to go to Rendindura, he did not tell anyone. He did not want his father and his sister to know, and since he could return to the Rose Manor on a moment’s notice, they did not need to know yet.

Anton told Raymond to tell everyone in the manor that he would follow the Ormundan Wizard’s advice about staying in the Rose Manor, then he told the butler that he wanted to roam the city to entertain himself a bit. He declined Raymond’s offer of servants or bodyguards following him.

He immediately headed to where the portals available for ordinary Ormundans to use to travel to New Drennor.

Once he arrived there, he was flabbergasted to learn that a trip would cause a person one medium-level mana stone. Anton thought that the price was simply too high for ordinary folks. He did not have medium mana stones, so he gave the wizards manning the portals one of his high-level mana stones, and change was promptly returned to him.

At first, he was worried that the people manning the portals would conduct some sort of background check, which would cause them to deny him the use of the portal to travel to New Drennor, but thankfully, there was none of that. As long as one could afford the price, it was fine to use it to travel to New Drennor. According to the wizard manning the portal, it was different on the New Drennor side. Those who wanted to travel to Ormunda from New Drennor needed to have their backgrounds checked. They did not want any coalition spy to use the portals to get to Ormunda. The logic behind their decision about the portal's use was a little flimsy, but Anton just shrugged it off.

Anton was added to one of the wizard’s party systems that opened the portal together with six other travelers, and then they all stepped through. He immediately left the party system and rushed off. He did not want the Ormundan wizards to learn that he travelled to New Drennor. It would be really awkward if someone from their side tried to capture him.

The next thing Anton did was learn where the transport gate was established. Thankfully, coins speak, and he only needed to inquire about the information he needed in one of the taverns scattered about in New Drennor. An enterprising wannabe spy approached him while he was drinking some sort of ale. After paying the man, he learned where the gate was located.

Apparently, the gate’s location was not so secret after all. Anton rushed off to where it was placed, and soon, he saw it. The gate was huge, about the size of a three-story building. It resembled the dimension gate from that movie, Stargate. Like a pond of blue water that was standing vertically.

There were tens of wizards surrounding the gate, and based on the aura that Anton detected from some of them, the most powerful were probably Divine Rank Wizards.

The transport gate was active, and based on Anton’s observation, anyone could use it, as long as it was active. He hoped that Anton could bypass any wards or traps that surrounded the gate by using his Teleport skill. He wore the mask that he prepared, and once he was near enough, he immediately teleported through the gate and entered it.

Anton felt powerful magic start from the wizards that was by the gate and knew that if the magic touched him, he would immediately be captured. Thankfully, he successfully entered the gate, and after a couple of seconds, he was on the other side.

He did not know which city or kingdom it was, but he saw tens of wizards looking at him in surprise. Anton did not want to be captured or even killed, so he immediately used his Teleport skill and teleported out of the way. He did not stop and continued teleporting.

What Anton did not know was that after a few seconds of his teleporting away, several powerful wizards passed through the portal with the intention of capturing him.

Anton did feel a massive amount of magical energy behind him, so he hastened his actions of teleporting nonstop. He was teleporting so fast that for the first time in a very long while, his mana dipped below half of his total mana pool. He immediately drank a Full Rejuvenation Potion, and his mana was full again. He did not stop teleporting even after a few hours.

During his continuous teleportation, he had to drink super mana potions nonstop. Thankfully, his act of drinking the potions meant clicking on it while the game was open in a floating window in his view.

Anton had checked the time before he entered the transport gate. He entered it at around ten in the morning. He only stopped teleporting away when the night had completely fallen. After that, he started flying using his Telekinesis spell and even boosted his flight speed using the druid skill Arctic Blast behind him.

He did not know how far he was from where the teleport gate was located. Anton only stopped when the sun had started to rise on the horizon. After stopping, Anton checked the surrounding area and saw that he was in some sort of wilderness.

Since he saw no one around, Anton immediately dug the ground using all of his skills, and once he was deep in the earth, he made sure that the underground space that he created was large enough. Then he closed the opening above, making sure that the entrance would not be noticeable by teleporting outside and examining the previous entrance minutely. Then he teleported inside the space that he had made, used a town portal scroll, and returned to his bedroom in the Rose Manor.

Anton had to make sure that the portal would be somewhere safe since he could not close it, or else he would not be able to return to the place where he opened the portal. After that, he cast the Blizzard spell that he converted into Mana Rain all over the manor to signal to everyone that he was back.

He did not plan to return to Rendindura immediately since he had to make sure that the ruckus caused by his actions would die down a bit before he began exploring what happened to his old continent.
