Chapter 765
Chapter 765
Anton was correct in assuming that Romina wanted more movies from him before he left for New Drennor to join in the fight against the Undead Coalition again, despite providing enough films that should last the cinema for more than a year if it continued to show two movies a month. Still, he provided more movies like the five movies from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, the prequel movies to The Lord of the Rings, which were The Hobbit films, all Disney animated films, and there were a bunch of those, and more.
All in all, he planned to provide Romina with around 100 movies, and that should last the cinema for several years. For television shows, that was easier since most shows had a bunch of episodes and even one show with one episode per week, and only one theater dedicated to television shows, just a few shows should last Romina for quite a while as well.
Romina told Anton that she was planning to expand the television part of the business, but decided to hold off on doing it because of the situation. At least, with the number of movies and television shows that she would receive from Anton, she should be satisfied.
Thankfully, Romina had the funds and manpower to acquire a large number of magic item recorders that Anton had to bespell so that no one could copy movies from them. The large number of said items and the manpower would also allow Anton to complete providing all of the movies and television shows that he planned to provide to Romina in just a couple of days.
Anton had to laugh when Luna and Alfred became aware of the large number of movies and television shows that Romina would receive. They pestered Anton to let them preview the movies and shows in the manor, but he only told them it would be Romina’s decision.
He also informed Romina that there might be some forest elves who would look for the family to trade for movies and that he was allowing the forest elves to copy the films as long as both parties agreed on the price. Anton told Romina that he already bespelled a bunch of the forest elves' magic item recorders to be able to copy the films.
He was not worried about the trade agreement between the two parties because Romina was experienced enough of a merchant to hold her own against the elves. Anton hoped. Nevertheless, even if they had become disadvantaged, he knew that it would not be too much since the forest elves knew that the movies were from him, and they knew that souring their relationship with him just for coins was a stupid move since, for now, Anton was the only source of the films.
Anders had already left for New Drennor, and because of that, the manor was a little gloomy. Anton knew that it was not because his father had left. It was because fighting the Undead Coalition was dangerous, and there was a chance that all of those who fought the undead would die.
Thankfully, the confidence of Anders’s men regarding Anton’s father's survivability because of his father’s ability was tremendous, and that brought comfort to everyone in the manor.
Anton was a little sad that he would not be able to start his “Garden in Autumn” project. He knew that once he joined the fight against the coalition, he would probably be too busy.
The good thing about Anton’s ability to use a town portal scroll was that he could still return to the manor any time he wanted. The same for his father, since Anders still had a good number of town portal scrolls saved despite providing a bunch to Ormunda.
Thankfully, the manor’s flower garden, fruit orchard, and the small grain fields would last for a couple of months without Mana Rain before reverting to normal fields.
Anton visited the classroom where Kirk, Abdul, Omar, and Mesono usually stayed while studying magic. In that classroom, the mirror that Anton made that allowed the four young wizards to store mana was placed there, and because of that, the room was filled with tamed mana, which allowed them to increase the rate at which they could memorize their spells. He also saw that Kirk was now holding the Insight Spear, so he would not be surprised to learn that in just a year, the four would reach a very high rank in wizardry.
The four young wizard was honest that they were relieved that the family did not require them to join in the fight against the undead.
“Why would we let you join?! You’re measly magic as third-level wizards would probably just tickle the undead,” Anton scolded the four.
They admitted to Anton that they were very happy in the manor, even though Raymond was very strict in monitoring their progress. They told him that for four days a week, they would be focused on progressing their magic, and three days of the week were their own to do whatever they wanted. Since the family had been very generous to them, they had the spending power to do a lot of things, and Ormunda was such a large city that there was nothing that they could not do to entertain themselves.
Anton was relived though, when the four told him that they usually continue practicing their magic and would only rest for one or two days a week. They also told him that they felt a little guilty because they felt like rich young nobles for how they were being treated. The manor actually did not require them to do anything but progress in their rank, since it was clearly indicated that they would only be useful once they reached a high enough rank in their wizardry.
He asked them about the situation of their family, and thankfully, they received a message from their family that the area where they were located was far from the area that the undead had conquered.
Kirk admitted to Anton that the four of them had sent coins to their family, and they received a message that their families were now doing well in New Drennor. Anton just shrugged and told them that there was nothing wrong with what they did.
“I thought you’d be angry. You’ve already given them a huge amount of coins,” Kirk told Anton, and he just rolled his eyes at the young wizard.
After his talk with the four young wizards, Kirk approached him to ask to talk to him after a couple of hours in his office. Anton wondered what it was about.
When Anton met with Kirk for the next time, he was surprised to see that he was accompanied by Luna.
“What is this?” Anton was startled.
“I talked to your father about asking his blessing regarding allowing Luna and me to get together. He gave his approval but told me to talk to you,” Kirk said with a serious face, with Luna hiding behind him, sporting a red face.
Anton did not know what to say. It was outside his scope of experience, and if he was being honest, he expected his father to handle this type of situation. Anton remembered that Kirk was 19 years old this year and Luna was 16 years old. In his opinion, they were both too young to get married, but more than likely, they were just going out. Even if they wanted to get married, Anton could not deny them what they wanted since he was not really their parent, especially if Anders already gave them his blessing.
