Chapter 321
Fraser stumbled back, startled by the sight of Lilith. She was not there when he had been inspecting the room to find anyone Amelia might have waiting to attack him. He looked carefully and there was no one around, but now Lilith stood behind him.
"I’ve been here the whole time. I see what you mean when you say that he is a little bit slow. Why would we be so foolish to leave Amelia alone with you? It’s a let down that all the sense seems to come from your mother and now that she is not here, you cannot properly plan to get out of here," Lilith said, understanding Fraser when she hardly knew him.
Lilith wished it was Beth who was the big villain in Amelia’s family that they had to go up against to make this interesting. Fraser was a boring enemy who was predictable. In a group, he would put up a good fight, but alone like this, he was stupid. He reminded her of someone from her past life.
"You should be begging her to keep you alive," Lilith said as she walked around Fraser to go to Amelia’s side. She couldn’t let something happen to Killian’s wife and offspring while she was the one protecting Amelia.
Now that Lilith thought about Amelia’s child, she was reminded to get another soul to feed Amelia. They couldn’t use Fraser’s one since it would be wrong to feed Amelia something so rotten.
’This is between me and my cousin. Leave us," Fraser said.
Lilith snorted as her laughter filled the room. She was tickled by the fact he thought he could tell her what to do. Maybe because she did not act like she was also a queen, he forgot what she was. "Not even Lucifer could get me to leave a room so easily so why should I listen to you? See, this arrogance is why you should kill him. He stands now like there is an army behind him."
"You shouldn’t speak as you do when you do not have the skills to back up your words and defend yourself. I personally think he sees you as a joke. That for all the things you say, you don’t have it in your heart to kill him. Which is stupid given the fact you killed your father," said Lilith.
She wanted Amelia to kill her cousin so this would all be over with. As far as Lilith knew, Agramon was the only person Amelia had to be wary of aside from Fraser and now, Agramon wasn’t free to leave the underworld since he had pissed off Lucifer. Lilith warned him not to mess with her husband’s plans during this time.
If they killed Fraser now, Amelia would be able to relax and enjoy the change in her life like the child growing in her and Lilith would have more time with Amelia to act like a normal young woman despite the fact that Lilith was over a hundred years old in human age.
Amelia did feel like Fraser doubted she had it in her to kill him. She didn’t know what stories Fraser had been listening to, but the ones about her getting rid of the people who made her life hell in the castle should have reached him.
