Chapter 311
"Mother, how are we going to get out of this?"
"I don’t know," Beth answered Fraser for the hundredth time since they were placed in the dungeon. It was already a headache to deal with Fraser, but now she had to look at the people Amelia was filling up the dungeon with.
"You need to call for her and plead with her to let us out of here. She has the king and his mother trapped in a cell amongst the poor," Fraser spat, disgusted by the sight of the people who were entering the dungeon. "I am still the king!"
"Fraser," Beth sighed as his words were causing problems for her. They were unprotected in the dungeon with the very people Fraser was insulting. The demons guarding the cells would not protect them if a fight were to start. "Sit down and shut up until it is our turn for her to decide what shall happen to us. You should be grateful that your cousin has not killed you."
Fraser looked down at the filthy floor stained with blood and droppings from people relieving themselves. "When have you ever seen a king sit on a floor like this?"
"You are not the king anymore!" Beth raised her voice, in hopes he would listen this time. "You are no longer on the throne. It belongs to Amelia now. I suggest you get used to it quickly. Each time you call yourself the king, the guards look at you. Ready to kill you. They are Killian’s people and to them, he is the only king around here. Sit," she ordered him.
She came to terms with the fact she might lose her son, but she did not want to be left in a cell with his body.
"I am trying to get us out of here-"
"You will get the both of us killed if you do not shut up. You have already forgotten what roams the castle now. Killian Bune is no ordinary man and Amelia does not have to save either one of us. I am telling you to sit quietly so that people here who are mad that their king failed to protect them, will not try finding a way to get into our cell because the guards won’t stop them. Sit," Beth repeated.
