The Throne Is Mine

Chapter 310

"Lilith," Amelia sighed.

"Sorry. I just couldn’t miss the chance to enjoy that he has not yet sensed his own child. No one else seems to notice or your guards would be on your ass to keep you safe. This just proves that I am good at knowing when there is a child coming into this world. You and Killian should prepare gifts to thank me. I like gold on my hands," Lilith said, sticking out her hands.

"There will be no gifts for you. Aren’t we supposed to be the ones receiving? And why don’t you speak about your children?" Amelia questioned, taking the moment to get her answers.

"Well, you have never asked if I have any and even then I would have said that I don’t have children. They are all such headaches honestly. Having children with the devil led me to have so many white hairs on my head from the stress. Lucifer had to capture a few of them and put them to sleep," Lilith revealed.

It had been long since she visited a few in fear that she would wake them out of their slumber and the others had flown around the underworld to set up their homes. They would occasionally visit her and create awkward dinners.

"Is having a child for a demon bad? Will I have to lock away any of my children?" Amelia asked, leaning back on the wall to help her stand up.

"I mean, it is often said that demon children are worse than their parents, but it is not like demons like to stop their children from causing trouble. The other Gods weren’t exactly happy with Lucifer having children and spoke of how they would turn out. They are pieces of the devil so there is power and urges some can’t control so we put them to sleep. It wasn’t easy," Lilith said as it meant she could not see them.

"I don’t like to bring up my children since I have to talk about what they suffered. I am still surprised that they love me despite all the hard decisions I had to make about them. I am patiently waiting for the day they all wake up. I doubt you and Killian will need to worry about putting your children to rest. They will grow up among humans and I am not saying this to please you, but you will make a better mother than I did to help your children get used to being a demon."

Lilith loved her children, but she could admit she wasn’t as motherly as she should be. She wasn’t when she was human and she wasn’t as a demon. She was never shown what a mother’s love was when she was human like Amelia. She might not have picked being an assassin if she did.

"Why are you so worried when the child is not here yet? Killian will know what needs to be done when the child is here. He will get a feel of the power and since you are human, your child might act as one until their power grows. Do not worry, Amelia. I will be around to offer you advice since I have given birth to many children. Trust me," Lilith said.

"How long does it last? Being pregnant?" Amelia questioned since it was her second concern with the child being noticed already.
