Chapter 188
Killian lunged forward with ease to grab Fraser’s throat. Amelia was used to the back and forth with Fraser but he was not. He had tolerated it long enough.
Gasps filled the room and everyone on the Blackwell side, except for Margaret, stood up to try to reason with Killian to let go of Fraser.
"All of you seem to forget that I spared your lives. I am still angered by what your previous king did to my people and you are slow to help find the rest of my people turned into slaves. I can break your neck right now," Killian said, proving his words by tightening his hold on Fraser, ignoring the sounds coming from his mouth. "I put you in the position you are in now because there was no one else at the time. Had I known you were so irritating I would have just killed you."
Fraser touched Killian’s hands to try prying it off but he was weaker in comparison to Killian who was like a beast.
"None of you get to make demands with the north. You still view us as inferior to your kingdom but it is your kind who are weaker. I have my reasons for disliking you but if my wife is disrespected one more time my army shall storm your land and cover it in blood. Do you understand?" Killian asked but his current hold on Fraser made it hard for a response to be given.
"We understand," Margaret answered in place of Fraser. "You can make a truce completely on your terms. All we require is the north not invading our land."
"Lady Margaret!" Lucas called as it was not what they had planned. They needed to get something more out of this union. They no longer had to fear the north as their army was more prepared now. They could even attack Killian now to get rid of him. That was his plan from the beginning but Cedric was against it.
Lucas wanted Killian killed the moment Amelia became queen so a Blackwell would have half the throne. They would figure out who got to replace Amelia in ruling the north later.
They looked weak by letting Killian grab their future king and they could do nothing but stand here. This was why they were trying so hard to not let other kingdoms know everything about the north taking over their kingdom. They had not even started the traditional send off for Richard which should have been done the day after he died. There was something suspicious about Richard’s death and how a man like Killian killed him.
"We are not in the right place to make demands with the north. When in history have you heard of a king taking over a castle and leaving the royals alive to continue as they were? We should be grateful to still be breathing. Do not have swords pointed to our necks right now," Margaret replied.
