The Throne Is Mine

Chapter 153

Amelia remained composed at the sight of spears and all sorts of weapons all around the village. The interest in her went away as quickly as it came. The people in the village went back to their loud conversations that sounded on the brink of a fight happening.

"Who is the most reasonable person I can speak to?" Amelia asked Alastor. She needed someone she could calmly speak to get an idea of what was happening here since Killian and Alastor weren’t being helpful.

Alastor pointed to a man sitting in a chair at the largest home in the middle of the village.

Amelia walked ahead leading the group to whoever this man was. He sat decorated with gold, eating some sort of meat while a skinny person fanned him with a giant leaf. She could already tell what kind of person this man would be.

"Why is there a human in this village?" The man asked when Amelia neared him. He heard rumors of Killian marrying a human but didn’t think it would be true. Humans were only good for taking their souls. He was tempted to take her soul but didn’t because of the man he had seen beside Killian many times.

"This is Amelia Blackwell. Killian’s future wife and your queen," said Alastor.

"We already have a queen and king in the underworld. Why would we need another?" The man replied.

"The devil rules the underworld. Anyone who followed Killian to this world on top and lives on this mountain must obey him as king. The devil made this clear to everyone who wanted to leave the underworld. Would you like to be sent back to the underworld?" Alastor asked in a calm tone but he was furious. Killian was a king no matter if they had the devil.

The man looked at Alastor’s sharp dark nails and knew this wasn’t a fight he should pick. Killian’s little dog was known to be a ruthless fighter. Besides, he had the common sense to know that anyone working for Killian would be hard to kill.
