Chapter 89
"This ended quickly before it could even start. There’s no way I am walking around with blood on my dress. I’m going home," Amelia began to stand up on her own.
It was disappointing that their time out would have to end quickly like this but there was nothing she could do. A couple of blood had stained the lower end of her dress and some had splattered towards her face.
"I can hear water. You can get cleaned up and I will get you a new dress for us to continue. If we leave things here without you getting the chance to have more fun, I get the feeling you will be angry with me for much longer."
"Well obviously," she dusted off her clothes. Amelia leaned to the side to look at the men Killian killed. Only the man who spoke earlier was alive. "You broke his leg?" She looked at Killian.
"I want to take a look at these slaves he mentioned. I won’t be taking him back to the castle if you don’t mind. I will be keeping him in my care," Killian snapped his fingers causing the man to instantly disappear.
Amelia opened her mouth but then closed it. "I keep forgetting that you are a powerful demon and I might be risking my life each time I am a bit bold with you."
"I don’t have any plans to kill my future wife," Killian reassured her. "It is your boldness that I find amusing. Continue with it."
"Right. Where is the water you heard? I think there should be a small stream close to the town but I have no idea which direction to go in," Amelia looked around at the trees which started to look identical.
"This way," Killian said, then reached for Amelia’s hand but stopped when he saw the blood on his hands. He placed his hands behind his back to wait until he would wash off the blood to touch her again.
