Chapter 1443: Finn Morgan Doesn’t Know How to Explain
Ian Shelby looked at each plot she wrote, as if he were seeing into her heart... Between the lines, she held a deep understanding and admiration for the medical profession.
In her writing, doctors were angels.
Ian also found her interview online. In the photos, Jocelyn’s smile was like a blooming flower, and her eyes were bright. She told the reporter that her biggest dream was to have her works turned into a TV series.
Ian realized she had never considered leveraging Finn Morgan’s connections, although The Kingston Group had many screenwriting teams and film companies.
Turning her work into a film would be an easy task.
But she wanted to rely on herself.
The bits and pieces of memories of Jocelyn Morgan stayed in his mind... lingering, until he fell asleep, and she appeared in his dreams again.
For the first time, Ian Shelby realized that loving someone felt like this, with no blood ties, yet it felt as if they were one.
In the evening.
Finn Morgan set off from the company, driving a white Maybach home.
He held the steering wheel with one hand, with the other resting on the open car window, his fingers forming a fist lightly against his chin, his brow slightly furrowed, deep in thought.
How to tell his parents about Jocelyn’s matter so they could accept it?
Surely, they couldn’t keep it from them...
The Morgan family, in the spacious villa, the kitchen was a flurry of activity.
The servants brought one exquisite dish after another to the dining room and also prepared red wine.
In the living room, Everett Morgan glanced towards the yard, "Why isn’t Finn back yet? Is he working overtime again?"
"I called him. He said he won’t be working late today." Jasmine got up from the sofa, "He should be on his way home, right?"
"Where exactly has Jocelyn gone? Why is her phone unreachable?" Everett furrowed his brows and sighed lightly, "I had a dream last night, dreamt she accidentally fell into the water, thought I’d call today to remind her."
"I can’t get through either." Jasmine didn’t think negatively, "She has so many friends at the Writers’ Association, she never goes out alone, there shouldn’t be any trouble, maybe her phone just ran out of battery?"
"Would the phone run out of battery during the day? That’s not normal... not going out alone is one thing, but shouldn’t she call us before she leaves? Just so we know where she’s gone."
Like a worried father, Everett Morgan was concerned for Jocelyn Morgan, haunted by a foreboding sense since the dream.
As the couple talked, a white Maybach pulled into the yard.
They watched Finn Morgan get out of the car and walk towards the living room, a happy smile appearing on Jasmine’s face.
Hailey Hale, with her belly showing, held onto the railing as she came down from upstairs, just as Finn entered.
"Dad, mom, honey." He greeted them, his tone still relaxed.
After coming down, Hailey walked over, happily entwining her arm with his, and leaned cheerfully against his shoulder, "You finally got off work early, how long has it been since we had dinner together? Today deserves praise, no broken promises."
Finn wrapped an arm around her shoulder and smiled.
Everett Morgan asked, "Where’s Jocelyn? Can you reach her? Her phone’s been unreachable, and we have no idea where she’s gone."
Finn looked at his parents, his tone calm, "Let’s eat first, I can already smell the food, and I’m hungry too."
"Alright, let’s eat first." Jasmine didn’t think too deeply, "I just knew that girl must have gone far away, only dared to tell her brother, didn’t dare to tell us."
"Mom."
Hailey walked with Finn to the dining room, smiling, "Actually, for Jocelyn’s profession, traveling more can be helpful, it can increase her inspiration, and the writing won’t be so lifeless."
