Miss Beautiful C.E.O and her system

Chapter 808 - 808: Juggernaut II

Darkness blurred his image, but her IR laser locked onto the target.

Tang Ziyi fired first.

Puff-puff-puff!

Rounds struck center mass.

The enemy staggered half a step—

Then continued firing.

Everyone ducked behind cover except Tang Ziyi, who immediately transitioned upward and aimed for the head, forcing the man to halt his fire momentarily.

Three more shots to the head.

The results were abysmal.

Ahmin's pupils shrank.

"What the hell—?!"

Forget Ahmin, even Tang Ziyi and Spirit Fox were stunned by the man's resistance.

Center-mass hits and headshots barely affected him.

What the hell was he wearing?

Tang Ziyi switched on her flashlight beam and shone it directly at his face.

The man's eyes looked bloodshot.

Veins bulged unnaturally across the partially exposed skin of his neck. Only Tang Ziyi's sharp eyes caught the abnormality.

Everyone else's attention remained fixed on the man's equipment and monstrous resistance.

His huge frame seemed to weigh a thousand pounds or more.

A massive Kevlar helmet fully protected his neck. Broad shoulder armor and torso Kevlar linked together as if a medieval knight had been modernized for contemporary warfare. Every limb carried metallic plating and Kevlar attachments.

The thickness was unimaginable in modern warfare—something more fitting for the gaming industry than reality. A true heavy infantry unit.

No Spirit Fox operator doubted the armor was powered by an exoskeleton.

Why the hell had the Advanced Warfare game they played during leisure suddenly appeared in reality?

For a brief moment, they almost couldn't believe their eyes upon witnessing a real Juggernaut standing as their opponent.

Obviously, the 5.56 caliber rounds in their hands posed little threat beyond becoming a minor hindrance to this terrorist.

Pausing only briefly, the Spirit Fox operators snapped everyone out of their daze and unleashed multiple rounds into the target until he finally collapsed onto the floor from sheer kinetic impact.

Equipment was merely an external factor in strength.

The true foundation had always been the human beneath it.

Then Tang Ziyi's hair stood on end.

She noticed an object suddenly appear in the man's grasp. It looked like an impact grenade she had seen in her earlier life.

He pulled the pin.

"Grenade!"

Tang Ziyi warned everyone and withdrew a couple of steps while continuing to fire.

Apart from shaking the man's body, she and her girls failed to stop his movement.

Fortunately, only the Spirit Fox members were close enough to react in time, with Ahmin being the sole allied member quick enough to process the situation. The militia commandos remained farther behind.

BOOM!

The shockwave rattled the enclosed space.

Debris shredded from the walls and transformed into deadly projectiles.

Yep, an offensive grenade. An impact version.

Ahmin was instantly taken out of the fight, covering her ears as she crumbled down like a helpless child.

Tang Ziyi grabbed the harness near Ahmin's neck and dragged her back to safety.

Fragments of metal plating appeared partially embedded beneath torn flesh around the enemy's torso, crudely fused into some kind of improvised armor support.

Although his armor stopped most of the shrapnel, several fragments still impaled themselves into the plating, ruining the armor's pristine appearance.

The PKM swung toward Tang Ziyi.

BRRRRRT!!

She lunged sideways behind a concrete pillar as rounds demolished the barricade behind her.

Two Spirit Fox operators opened fire simultaneously.

Puff-puff-puff-puff!

Headshots.

One narrowly missed.

Another struck the side of his cheek.

The enemy barely reacted.

His helmet protected him.

Instead—

He laughed.

A low, broken sound.

Then he grabbed another grenade.

Tang Ziyi's instincts screamed.

"GRENADE!"

BOOM!!

The explosion tore through the corridor again.

But this time, the enemy advanced through his own grenade blast.

"He's insane—"

"No," Tang Ziyi interrupted coldly while swapping magazines. "He's drugged beyond human limits."

She had already confirmed the man's condition from the glimpse of bulging veins she saw earlier.

Even with superb protection, Tang Ziyi refused to believe this bastard's raw physical strength alone could endure such repeated concussive pressure.

She also refused to believe his armor technology had surpassed Athena's liquid exoskeleton systems enough to disperse that level of kinetic force completely.

The enemy pushed forward, briefly carrying the PKM one-handed while firing short bursts.

That alone was monstrous.

Even trained machine gunners struggled to maintain accurate standing fire with a PKM inside confined spaces.

Yet this man moved through recoil as if he barely felt it.

Much less the fact that, despite his enormous weight, he could still stand back up after being knocked onto the ground.

Another hostile suddenly burst from a side room.

Puff!

A Spirit Fox operator shot him directly through the eye before he could complete the turn.

She frowned in puzzlement. That section should have already been cleared.

Where the hell had this man come from?

Except for serving as a distraction and nuisance, the hostile merely annoyed the operators.

She gestured for the nearest teammate to back her up and secure the area once again.

Tang Ziyi ignored the body completely.

Too many unusual things had been happening since then.

Her focus remained solely on the HVT.

Tang Ziyi's expression changed instantly when she remembered the HVT was still a terrorist.

"Everyone back! Distance now!"

The operators reacted immediately without hesitation, dragging the militia fighters with them.

The HVT grinned wildly through blood-covered teeth and charged forward half-blinded.

PKM roaring.

Grenades hanging across his vest.

"Kill him immediately!" someone shouted.

Spirit Fox opened fire together.

Suppressed gunfire became a storm.

With their grip strength, Tang Ziyi and her girls switched their rifles to automatic fire and sprayed directly at the head.

The recoil was almost negligible under their strength. They kept their muzzles locked steadily onto the target's head.

The only reason they didn't engage in close combat and eliminate the monster more easily was because the militia commandos remained nearby.

Although both sides were allies, Tang Ziyi knew which secrets to expose and which to conceal.

Puff-puff-puff-puff-puff!

The HVT absorbed several impacts before a final round penetrated through the orbital socket.

His protective helmet finally collapsed from the repeated direct hits and gave way.

The body collapsed forward at last.

Still twitching.
