Chapter 850: Astral Lord
Supreme Genesis said in a deep voice, "We must stop this Calamity of Eternal Oblivion! Otherwise, under the never-ceasing tsunamis of the Eternal Oblivion, the Astral World... will become a dead land.
"This Eternal Oblivion Tsunami isn't merely the product of the eighteen Supremes. It's now circulating on its own and includes the power of the Astral World's very laws. It's like a star falling into a black hole. To reverse it would require power capable of resisting a black hole... in other words, resisting the Astral World's laws themselves.
"Unless we can gather a force even larger, far larger than last time and work together to reverse the situation, any individual Supreme who dares to interfere will definitely be dragged into the Astral World by this power."
Supreme Primordial sighed and said, "In other words, until we gather enough Supremes to withstand the Astral World's backlash, we... can no longer intervene in any of the Astral World's internal changes."
Supreme Genesis sensed the raging, violent tsunami of the Eternal Oblivion inside the Astral World.
The Astral Gods living within the tsunami were still faring relatively better. Though the tsunami drastically increased the dangers in the sea, as long as the fish could grow quickly and avoid the waves, they could still survive. But any other living creature outside the tsunami would immediately be torn to shreds the moment it entered.
Even Supremes were no exception.
"This upheaval is meticulously planned. It absolutely isn't the work of a single individual. It must be a faction... an extremely powerful one, with significant standing among the Nine Sovereign Races," Supreme Genesis said firmly.
Supreme Primordial glanced at the Astral World, now rendered murky and obscure by the Eternal Oblivion Tsunami. After running some calculations, he said, "Jin'que must be involved. Otherwise, the Three Calamities and Nine Tribulations' rules couldn't have been rewritten so smoothly.
"Not just Jin'que. Among the other Eight Sovereign Races, at least one individual of crucial standing, either a Heavenly Emperor or even a Divine Emperor, must have joined in."
Supreme Genesis nodded. Then, as if struck by a thought, he said, "Their goal—"
Supreme Primordial sighed. "It must be fortune. To save the Astral World...that's essentially saving the universe. What an astonishing stroke of fortune."
