Chapter 849: Huge Change
Step by step, Jin'que, the top-tier expert who stood closest to the Divine Emperor, made his way forward. "Central Sovereign..."
Several figures appeared silently beside him. Among them were Sacred Monarchs and Heavenly Emperors. Leading them was his absolute confidant, Heavenly Emperor Jiu Yue.
Under Jin'que's command, the group headed straight to the energy pillar.
There, five Heavenly Emperors stood in formation, each representing one of the five great factions: Endless Divine Mountain, Astral World Research Institute, Sacred Flame Hall, Heaven Ordainment Sect, and Omni-Merchant Guild. They appeared to be controlling a massive formation centered around a jade stone towering over a hundred meters tall.
The jade stone... looked like a crystallized remnant formed from the remains of a fallen life.
"Sovereign Jin'que?" Heavenly Emperor Fan Yin of Endless Divine Mountain was surprised to see him, but he quickly said, "This area is temporarily closed to outsiders. If you have business here, please come back later."
"This is my Myriad Astral God Hall," Jin'que said coldly, "yet I'm not even allowed to move freely here. How laughable."
Heavenly Emperor Fan Yin frowned. "Jin'que—"
"Forget it." Sovereign Heavenly Emperor Jin'que lifted his head, his gaze piercing through the palace and locking onto the pillar of light that stretched up into the clouds. "Such weak Three Calamities and Nine Tribulations. Are you all just playing house? If you truly want to save the Astral World..."
His eyes darkened with cold intensity. The golden cloak draped across his back burst into fierce flames, twisting and dancing like living fire as they wrapped tightly around him. The flames soon hardened into a shining golden armor, encasing him completely.
The final piece of armor formed in his hand, condensing into a sharp, majestic spear that radiated a chilling light. "There's only one way! Shatter all eternity to dust. Destroy everything and restore order to the Astral World!"
With that, his spear blazed like a streak of golden light, cutting across the sky to slam into the pillar of light that reached the horizon.
