Chapter 17: She Almost Gave Me a Heart Attack
The duo continued talking.
After Evelyn was full, she said something shocking to him.
"Ren, can you guard this lake? I want to take a bath." She did not take a bath yesterday, so she felt uncomfortable.
Her question surprised Ren.
Of course, he did not show it on his face because he needed to maintain his image.
'Has she forgotten that I'm a male?'
They only knew each other yesterday, so he was surprised by her trust in him.
"Are you not afraid that I will peek at you?" he threw a question at her.
Instead of answering his question, she asked, "Are you going to peek at me?"
Ren did not answer her question and rose to his feet.
"Alright. I will protect you and this lake. You can take a bath in peace because no one will peek at you, and no magical beasts will disturb you." He sat on a big stone with his back facing her.
