However, the frequency had changed—if described numerically, it decreased from roughly twenty magic bombardments per second to about nineteen.
This freed-up moment, saved from one attack, was used by Roa to chant a seemingly meaningless incantation. As the chant continued, a faint, peculiar fluctuation slowly emanated from Roa, spreading into the atmosphere.
As the chanting persisted, the fluctuation seemed poised to expand, but Roa forcefully constrained it with his own control, suppressing the ripple to an extremely small range, confining it just outside his body.
Large beads of sweat continuously dripped from Roa's forehead; evidently, restraining this force was no easy task for him.
His crimson serpent pupils stared intently at Haru, who was nonchalantly neutralizing the magical attacks. Confirming the opponent hadn't noticed his subtle actions, Roa inwardly breathed a huge sigh of relief, redirecting his focus to the incantation.
After Roa's gaze shifted away, the corners of Haru's mouth lifted slightly. He watched Roa with amusement, as if looking at some kind of naive money-scattering child—which, in fact, was precisely the case.
Every time Haru annihilated one of Roa's magical attacks, the structure, usage method, and effect of that attack would naturally surface in his mind.
