A massive beast claw, almost three times the size of Merem himself, descended from the sky, slamming down towards Merem's head like a sudden, beastly version of the Buddha's Palm.
BOOM—!
The abrupt attack caught Merem completely off guard. He barely had time to look up before the beast claw struck his face, hammering him into the ground like a nail struck by a sledgehammer.
"Awoo—!" The recoil from the giant claw striking the ground sent the enormous Fou shuddering. It leaped forcefully into the air, flipped mid-flight, transformed into the size of a wolf, and landed on the ground.

Merem popped his head out from underground, looking grimly at Fou, grinding his teeth. "White Beast!!!"

Light footsteps approached slowly.
Strout and Blood walked towards Merem from the left and right, joining Fou—who stood nearby shaking its forepaws—to form an encircling formation, trapping Merem, whose head was the only part visible, within their cordon.
