Chapter 177: Tania’s desperation
"You accused my wife without knowing the truth," he said with righteous fury. "You slapped her in front of everyone. Don’t you think you owe her an apology?"
"What?" Jeanne stiffened, her eyes narrowing with a mix of fury and disbelief. "You want me to apologize to her?"
"Why not?" he countered. "You humiliated her. You falsely accused her in public. You must apologize."
Jeanne scoffed, her voice rising. "You... You’re blaming me now? She had that video. She could’ve shown it earlier. But no, she waited until tonight—just to disgrace us in front of all these people. Don’t pretend this wasn’t intentional."
"I don’t need your apology, especially if it’s insincere." Anne stepped forward, her face calm but her eyes blazing. "But listen carefully. I’m done accepting false accusations. This isn’t the first time it has happened to me, but it will be the last."
She pointed at Tania. "Since the day she returned from abroad, she has been scheming against me, framing me for things I never did, poisoning minds just to paint herself as the victim. All of it... for sympathy. And why? Because she believes I want Denis. Let me make this clear: I have no relationship with him. I never did."
Anne’s words struck Denis like lightning.
