Married To My Ex's Brother, Reborn Miraculously

Chapter 89: Don’t even try to compete with me.

Left alone at the table, Tania took the necklace from the box and fastened it around her neck. She turned on her phone’s camera, admiring her reflection as a slow, satisfied smile spread across her lips.

"Denis still loves me," she murmured. "He’ll buy me anything as long as I ask."

Then, a devious idea crept into her mind. It was the perfect opportunity to remind Anne of her place—to make sure she never entertained the thought of getting back with Denis.

With a gleam of satisfaction, Tania stood gracefully, adjusting the necklace so it sat perfectly against her collarbone. She grabbed her glass of wine and sauntered toward Anne. Tonight, she would make sure Anne understood—Denis was far beyond her reach.

Anne sat alone at her table, swirling her drink lazily in her glass, enjoying the quiet buzz of alcohol.

"Drinking alone?" Tania’s voice cut through the air, laced with smug amusement. She slid into the seat across from Anne. "Where is your husband?"

Anne, feeling pleasantly light from the alcohol, had no interest in engaging in a pointless argument. She wasn’t about to let Tania ruin her mood.

"Why are you looking for my husband?" Anne shot back sarcastically. "Not satisfied with one man? If you think Augustine will give you attention, you’re wrong. Go back. Don’t waste my time."

Tania chuckled, unfazed. "Augustine? Please. Why would I care about him when I have Denis? He loves me, keeps me happy, spoils me with gifts. See this?" She leaned forward slightly, her fingers brushing over the glittering diamonds around her neck. "Denis doesn’t hesitate to spend on me. He even promised more."

Anne took a slow sip of her drink, unimpressed.

Tania’s smile widened. "And why wouldn’t he? I’m carrying his child."
