"Are we really going back?"
"We have to go back, be good." Camden River ruffled her hair.
Windsor Myres looked up at him, and after a moment, she just nodded.
The two of them packed their suitcase in the guest room, went downstairs together, and drove to the Myres Family home.

In the Myres Family living room, Camden River met Windsor Myres’s mother.
As Cesar Myres’s woman, Cherry Lewis was naturally a beauty. Although approaching fifty, her figure and skin were still well-maintained. She leaned on the sofa in a sleeveless, printed fitted dress, her eyes and brows exuding the captivating charm of a mature woman, extremely alluring.
Camden River stood beside Windsor Myres and politely smiled, "Hello, Auntie."
"What’s your last name?" Cherry Lewis raised her eyebrows and looked at her, casually asking him while sitting up.
Camden River maintained a composed expression, neither humble nor arrogant, "Camden River, with the ’extraordinary’ Camden and the ’serene’ River. You can just call me Little Camden."
"Good-looking, no wonder this girl likes you."
"Mom!" Windsor Myres was displeased.
Cherry Lewis glanced at her and coldly said, "Why are you yelling? I’m just asking a couple of questions, why are you so anxious? Whose place did you run off to with that suitcase? Do you even care about me as your mom?"
"Didn’t I come back?" Windsor Myres bit her lip, exasperated.
Cherry Lewis instead laughed and gave a sideways glance at the maid, raising her tone slightly, dissatisfied, "What, has the guest been here so long and not even a cup of tea?"
The maid was startled, quickly stepped back a few paces to pour tea.
Cherry Lewis scrutinized Camden River up and down, then gestured to the sofa, "Have a seat."
"Thank you, Auntie." Camden River smiled and sat down, taking the initiative to speak, "I have been with Little Windsor for some time now, and I should have visited you much earlier. But I just returned from studying abroad a few days ago and have been busy with my internship, so I’m late, truly sorry, I hope you won’t mind."
"No problem." Cherry Lewis smiled and asked him, "Are you a journalist?"
"Still in the internship stage."
"Are your parents teachers?"
"Yes."
"This girl says you’re from Riverside, are your parents over there?" Cherry Lewis uncharacteristically patient, asked him as if conducting a household registration check.
Camden River answered again, "Yes."
Cherry Lewis nodded, thought for a moment, and said mildly, "This girl gave up home for you, I’m quite surprised myself. Since that’s the case, my suggestion is to have your parents come over, and our two families can meet each other, just to get to know each other. After all, you both have jobs now, and if the relationship is stable, there’s no reason to delay. What do you think?"
"..." Camden River was a bit surprised, glanced at Windsor Myres.
Windsor Myres also looked at him, equally surprised.
"Not willing?" Cherry Lewis had a hint of displeasure in her tone, asked in return.
Camden River quickly said, "Why wouldn’t I be? It’s necessary. I’ll go back and tell my parents, they might come over at the end of next month."
"Good." Cherry Lewis nodded.

As Camden River left the Myres Family, he said to Windsor Myres, "Why is your mom not as difficult as you described?"
"Could it be because you’re pretty handsome?" Windsor Myres was puzzled too and laughed, "I thought she would throw out the gifts you brought."
"So," Camden River exhaled, smiling lightly, "many times, things aren’t as bad as you imagine, don’t scare yourself, next month when my parents come, we’ll all meet together, do you want to get engaged?"
