Chapter 329 - 335 Dallas Taylor Returns to Seek Monthly Votes(1)
Mason Sutton had arrived early.
He inadvertently saw Koa Jackson and decided to stay in the car.
Of course, he saw the entanglement between the three people.
However, he wore a smile as gentle as a spring breeze and said, "I was just wondering how to find you, and then I saw you as soon as I parked."
"Looking for me?" Mia Ginger was momentarily surprised.
"Yes," Mason Sutton nodded, "I bought you a phone and brought it over."
"Did my dad bother you again?" Mia Ginger felt a bit embarrassed, casually accepting the tote bag he handed over.
Louis Cox had met Mason Sutton a few times and naturally knew that he was Mayor Ginger’s assistant. He glanced at the phone without saying a word, not bringing up the fact that he intended to gift a phone himself.
"Hello." Mason Sutton extended a hand towards him.
"Hmm." Louis Cox, somewhat depressed, shook his hand.
In front of him, he felt embarrassed to force Mia Ginger.
However, Mason Sutton seemed oblivious to the tension between the two, smiling at Mia Ginger and casually saying, "I was so busy this morning I haven’t eaten. I’m quite hungry, and since you received the phone, wouldn’t it be nice to treat me to a meal before heading back?"
"Oh." Mia Ginger looked at him, then at Louis Cox, bit her lip for a while, and said, "Then why don’t you have a meal before leaving, what do you want to eat?"
"Let’s hear what you’re planning to treat us to." Mason Sutton smiled.
Louis Cox gave him a glance, feeling immensely bewildered.
His relationship with Mia Ginger had been tense for years, and it seemed there had never been such a relaxed moment.
How many days had this person known Mia Ginger?
So casual?!
Louis Cox narrowed his long phoenix eyes, lost in thought.
Mia Ginger’s voice came to his ear, "How about that restaurant? The food’s pretty good, um... mainly I can afford it."
Watching her slightly embarrassed look, Mason Sutton smiled and asked Louis Cox, "What about you?"
"I’m easy." Louis Cox lowered his gaze to look at Mia Ginger.
Let alone treating him to a meal, even if she treated him to a sip of water, even tap water, he’d be happy for several days.
"Then it’s settled."
Mason Sutton made the decision, eyes slightly curved, making a gesture to "please."
Louis Cox and he stood on either side, with Mia Ginger and Little Maeve walking in the middle, the four of them heading to the restaurant together.
Little Maeve was short and naturally walked slower.
Mia Ginger held her hand, and before long, the two fell slightly behind.
"Sister Mia." Seeing her turn back several times, Little Maeve softly called out.
"Eh?" Mia Ginger looked down at her.
"Are you mad at us?" The little girl tilted her head up, her big, clear eyes fixed on her, full of sincerity.
"No." Mia Ginger forced a smile.
"But you are mad." The little girl’s lips pouted, contemplative, "Every time uncle comes to see you, you look mad. Why is that? Uncle likes you a lot, you get mad and he gets mad, then he won’t play with me, I get mad too, everyone gets mad, that’s not good."
"..." Mia Ginger was rendered speechless by her lengthy remark.
"Do you like that uncle just now?" Little Maeve saw her silent, biting her fist in dilemma, frustrated, "But that uncle seemed fierce, got mad immediately, glared at uncle, and yelled at you! So fierce, why do you like him?"
"Well," maybe because her expression was filled with innocence, Mia Ginger felt somewhat relieved for a moment, smiled slightly, and patiently said, "you wouldn’t understand grown-ups’ matters. You’ll know when you grow up."
