Chapter 328 - 334 Rivalry Between Love Rivals (10)
Mia Ginger saw from afar.
Instinctively, she compared Koa Jackson and him together again.
Koa Jackson habitually waited for her in the car. Did it mean that he, unlike Louis Cox, wasn’t eager to see her and didn’t hope to see her the first second she appeared?
Feeling a bit complicated, she suddenly missed Koa Jackson intensely.
She wanted to be with him, to feel his sentiments, to discard all her neurotic wild thoughts.
And just like that, she approached Louis Cox.
Louis had also seen her long ago, extinguished his cigarette, and stood up straight.
He reached out above her head and teased, "You seem to have grown taller."
"Huh?" Mia was taken aback and retorted, "I’ve stopped growing since the year before last; it must be your illusion."
"Yes, I haven’t seen you for a long time." While speaking, Louis suddenly leaned in and hugged her, turned his head, and took a deep breath of her hair.
"Let go, let go!" Annoyed, Mia pushed him away.
Feeling he had taken advantage, Louis wasn’t angry and quickly let go of her, smiling as he said, "I got something for you."
"I don’t lack anything."
"Who said that?" Louis directly opened the back door.
"Hello, Sister Mia." Maeve held a box high up with a giggle and said, "Uncle bought you a gift."
A cellphone?
Mia was stunned.
"Take it," Louis folded his arms, giving her a displeased look, "Look how tired you’ve made my niece."
"Sister..." The little girl tilted her head, drawling in a coy tone.
Mia, genuinely embarrassed, reached out to take the phone, looked up at Louis, and said, "Then I’ll pay you for it."
"Are you crazy!" Louis glared at her in annoyance, "I’m not short of that little money."
"I can’t accept without contributing, I..."
"I really can’t with you," Louis directly opened the passenger door and said, "Get in, get in, let’s eat first; it’s just a phone, no need to be so shy."
Mia stood in place and didn’t move.
Just as she hesitated, a car not far away suddenly made a "pop" sound.
Both of them looked over, and Koa Jackson got out of the car.
He approached Mia with a cold face, looked at her, and said expressionlessly, "Return it."
"Brother Jackson, I..."
Before Mia could explain, Koa’s face turned colder, and he said in a deep voice, "Return it."
Mia reflexively stretched out her hand and forced the phone back into Louis’s hand.
Louis didn’t take it, so she tossed it into the passenger seat.
Koa Jackson grabbed her wrist and started walking away.
Louis’s face turned livid, and he immediately reached out to grab her other wrist.
"Let go!" Koa’s gaze was icy.
"No way!" Louis tightened his grip even more, looking at Mia with disappointment, gritting his teeth, "Are you crazy? Why are you so afraid of him? You couldn’t even accept a phone I gave you; have some guts."
"Let go of me." Mia’s face looked extremely unpleasant.
"I won’t." Louis was furious, and before he could finish speaking, Maeve suddenly jumped out of the car, punching Koa’s leg while saying, "Dates should be on a first-come-first-served basis. Uncle, go away, let go of Sister Mia."
Koa picked her up by her shoulder and set her aside.
Maeve was stunned, her eyes glared in rage, "Villain, bullying a little girl villain!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she rushed over again to hit his leg.
Mia, with both arms held by two people, was agitated. She shook her hands loose and, without having bowed down to pick up Maeve, Koa suddenly turned around and walked away.
She hesitated, didn’t stop Maeve either, and hurriedly chased after him.
She grabbed Koa’s wrist.
"Will you keep in contact with him in the future?" Koa directly asked in front of Louis.
"Brother Jackson..." Mia bit her lip and called softly.
"Will you? Answer me!"
Mia was startled by the restrained anger and couldn’t find words to reply.
Koa withdrew his hand from her embrace, stepped over to the car, got in, tossed the phone from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s footwell, and decisively drove the car away.
Mia stood in the same place, watching his car disappear, clenching her pale lips tightly.
Louis approached to pull her.
Mia fiercely shook off his hand and said lowly, "Go away, don’t come looking for me again."
"I!" Louis was furious, the muscles at his jaw twitching twice rapidly, and said angrily, "Are you insane, just enjoy suffering, what’s so good about that Koa, why are you so set on him!"
"I am insane!" Mia looked up at him in anger, "I’m insane, okay? I’m so deeply sick, and you keep coming to me repeatedly, aren’t you sick too!"
"Ha!" Louis suddenly paused, then laughed unceremoniously, "Just perfect, we’re both sick, wouldn’t it be just right for us to be together?"
"Crazy!" Mia was so furious with him that she couldn’t find words to respond.
"Come on, let’s go eat." Louis wasn’t annoyed anymore. It was good Koa was mad and left, a few more blows and this girl would have to be his, tsk!
How great he left!
"I’m not eating." Mia had no mood to eat.
Louis turned his head, signaling Maeve, who was standing by, with an eye gesture.
Maeve quickly came over, shaking her arm, "Sister Mia, come eat with us. Uncle yanked me out of bed this morning. Didn’t even wait for the family tutor, just came here to see you. It’s been a while; I’m hungry."
"I..."
Mia held a grudge in her heart, feeling very troubled.
A voice suddenly came gently as the spring breeze, "Mia Ginger."
"Brother Sutton." Mia turned her head and saw Mason Sutton already close in front of her.
