Chapter 366: The convinience of living with madam Feng.
Mei Mei’s interview ended on a good note with a thunderous applause. She had brought gifts for the live audience which was Whiskers ten merchandise and one ticket to the space camp for two people.
To her surprise, the guests received even more gifts. Small cakes from Huaqi, top quality underwear in black gift bags for privacy and Huaqi’s tea leaves.
As they were having their make up removed she asked Rize, "Isn’t this a little too much? Who provided the underwear?"
Rize laughed in turn. "Didn’t you know that your mother-in-law owns an undergarment company worth hundreds of millions? I am pretty sure that all the underwear I saw in your closet and Mingzhu’s are from this brand."
Now that it was mentioned Mei Mei realized that she had not bought new undergarments ever since madam Feng moved in. She just didn’t seem to run out of new ones. She had assumed it was the doing of her mother, Rose or aunt Manchu.
"You are marrying into a wealthy family with a caring mother-in-law and loving husband. This is what we always dreamed of for you." Rize spun the chair around to look at Mei Mei.
The make up artist shifted to allow the women converse without a human blockage between them.
"I am not getting married just yet aunt, I simply have a boyfriend." She reminded her.
Rize let out a tiny snort. "A boyfriend you live with. Not just him but his mother too. Face it my dear niece, the cuffs are already partially on. Tell me the truth though, are you comfortable living with them?"
She was asking as a concerned aunt that was worried about her niece being pressured into a situation she was unprepared for. It was one thing to live with a mother-in-law after marriage and another to live with her even before.
