Seeing the smiles on the two old men’s faces, He Zhilan felt a touch of sourness in her heart. Perhaps, this was the greatest and final blessing that fate had bestowed upon her in terms of family affection.
The wedding banquet ended around one-thirty. After sending off the two elderly gentlemen, He Zhilan and He Teng personally escorted He Teng’s comrades-in-arms to the hotel entrance, watching them get into their vehicles before turning back.
In the hotel, Lin Chan’s family and the guests from He Family’s hometown were still waiting in the banquet hall. Upon returning, He Zhilan overheard Lin Chan discussing the matter of the photographs.
Lin Chan had brought a camera today and was discussing with everyone how many copies of the photos to print when he saw He Zhilan and He Teng approaching. He asked, "What do you think about the newspaper? I think we should release the news of your marriage to prevent others from exploiting it. Why not select one of your silhouette photos and release it along with the news? It would be beneficial for your company as well."
"I’ve been thinking the same," He Zhilan nodded, "He Teng can’t show his face in the papers due to his job, so let’s use a photo of our back profiles. This will reassure everyone and preempt any manipulative stories from the Gu Family regarding my remarriage."
Saying this, He Zhilan looked at He Teng and sought his opinion with her eyes. If he had no objections, they would proceed as planned.
"It’s up to you." He Teng didn’t comment much on using only a silhouette photo. He didn’t understand the business dealings of He Zhilan’s company, so he refrained from speaking out of turn or interfering.
