"I’m here to ask why you stepped down as the president of Hamilton Corp," Charlotte asked. She couldn’t imagine anyone else being as good as her grandson when it came to handling the company. But what she couldn’t tell was why he just stepped down without any warning, especially when the company needed him the most.
"You stepped down?" Garth asked perplexed, she had no idea Alanis did much since she had been too invested in fighting Harlow and setting her children free from their punishments. And now, she didn’t like the sound of what she was hearing.
Why would Alanis step down just when the company was slowly coming up again? She had noticed his bad decision-making recently and didn’t like it at all.
George was not yet ready to handle the company.
"What were you thinking Alanis? First, you broke your engagement with Claudia, the only person who can lift us from suffering, and now you have stepped down from being the president? What would become of us?" Garth stated.
"What would your father say? This is why I cry everything for Edwards’s death."
"There should be an election happening soon because I know you wouldn’t just make any decision without a plan," Charlotte asked her grandson.
"Of course, there’s a plan. A new president more qualified than I am is handling the company soon. But there’s no need for an election. The board of directors agrees with my plan." Alanis said nonchalantly.
"That is good. And you’re well familiar with him?" Grandma Hamilton asked as she found her way to one of the sofas, her meaningful gaze lingered on her grandson.
