Chapter 68: A VISIT FROM A FRIEND
"Don’t be like this Frank. Calling our family cursed is going overboard, Harlow is the cursed one, not us." Elisa said calmly. She has always known that girl to be cursed.
"I should have asked a few guards to help you out with your plans that day. You see, Harlow has a little mental problem that I and Frank have kept to ourselves for so long." She added.
"You knew that girl is sick and you still have her to me?" Frank yelled. You should get out of my room now before I do something stupid."
"A room my husband paid for. Your bills and everything you are Nathan is thanks to Frank." Elisa said. For long she has known Nathan as the man who Frank helped. The man who did his evil deeds and even hers too.
"I worked so hard to earn everything I have today. Just wait till the public gets to find out who you and your husband truly are." Nathan barked at her.
"Oh, oh... Oh... I’m so scared, Somebody save me..." Elisa said dramatically. She stared at the man pitifully. She thought she could use him for one last mission, but it seemed there was no redemption for his soul.
She can’t afford to keep him, the secrets Nathan knows cannot be let out. Not only does his words have substance, he also has enough evidence against them. Evidence that could ruin them for good.
This is the reason she loved working alone, people get too bold when they feel like they have so much against you. They tend to bite the hands that feed them.
