Chapter 49: THS WAR BETWEEN A FATHER AND DAUGHTER
Harlow’s hands froze mid air but she recovered quickly and smiled. "Grandma, I’ve heard you talk about forgetting things so I assume what I wasn’t meant to. Not to worry, everything will be settled after the next appointment."
"How very thoughtful of you." Charlotte smiled. Her eyes then shifted to Lay who has been quiet since she got here.
"Who are you?"
"Oh sorry for the late introduction grandma, this is Layla Richmond." Harlow introduced. "She’s my best friend." She smiled.
Alanis stared at the young girl, in his previous life,he wasn’t sure he had met any Layla Richmond being aquainted to his wife, unless something happened to her.
"I am happy to be welcomed into your home." Lay said she stared at Harlow who smiled back at her. She’d seen Alanis countless times on the news, but never did she imagine he would be this good looking in person.
But that didn’t mean she didn’t want to hit his head and teach him a good lesson for messing with her best friend. No matter how handsome he looks, he’s still an asshole for playing with her Harlow.
All Harlow deserves in life is so much peace and love, no torture and suffering.
After dinner that night, Harlow sent a message to Richie about purchasing an apartment for her the next and to also tell Ava not to worry and that she wouldn’t be returning back tonight.
