The calm in the Golden Shifter was felt weeks later after wiping out the threat of Aipaloovik and the old geezers from the Golden Shifter clan. News of Tizheruk defeating Cordelia was welcomed in the pack and we were in a celebratory mood for the next few weeks.
Commander Abram had bought a house and settled the Battalion Jerusha, Grahan, and Oliver in Chugach. Uncle Cadman had helped him harness the mountain power and he was training to be the next Guardian of Chugach prison and the mountain. There was no news from Tochigi as yet but the Aria family, Lovita, Aurora, Thank, and Totem had plans to go to Tochigi soon after the birth of Sayuri and Zinebs’s babies.
Hunter, Everest, and Lovita still ran the pack as I finalized the Freki resort while Lucian delegated his duties to Zeeb, Anisha, Tharn, and Toten.

Godmother was back in Chugach with Mrs. Hemming and the Freki Resort was almost done. But the health of Godmother deteriorated so fast and Uncle Cadman and Aurora informed me that her bones were decaying so fast.
After discussing Godmother’s illness, I a week consulting the doctors and practicing magic that could extend Godmother’s life and cure her decaying bones. I had taken a chopper out of Chugach late afternoon and gone to the mountains to seek help from a healer witch who resided on the north side of the mountain. I arrived late in the evening at the Freki Mansion and found Zeeb in the living room and he looked at me in surprise.
" Why are you here? " He asked in surprise as he sipped a glass of juice.
