Chapter 313: YARI SPEAR
" Rise" Asheral commanded Yari.
" Thank you Asheral. It’s good to see you. You are still as beautiful as ever" Yari raised his head and smiled warmly at her. His voice was radiating power the more he spoke to her and I wondered how come I could feel his power and not Meglado’s.
" You flatter me Yari. " She chuckled and patted her shoulders.
" I failed the sea god. " Yari whispered in shame.
Asheral sat down slowly but her eyes were blazing when she asked him " Calm down and tell me what happened. I will listen without judging the past."
" The sea god’s general was born and his birth activated my existence just as the gods set it up. I rose in the sea and the person who found me was a seer. I made an error by trusting him and ended up being held captive. Ricin is poisonous to serpents and I was soaked in it for years. That is how my power weakened and I only awakened when I felt the power of the sea god’s blood at the end of the blade. It awakened me at the last minute and I was able to push some of my power to him to save him and neutralize the Ricin poison or else the damage would have been unimaginable. " He narrated.
Asheral turned to Isamu and her eyes were murderous. Isamu maintained his face and Asheral asked him " Give me a good reason why I should not let Yari kill you"
Yari seemed surprised at Asheral’s words and then turned his head and his eyes clashed with Isamu. " It was you. ’’ He growled and his voice rattled the glass that the house was built with.
" Calm him down, " I commanded Asheral. Yari turned to me and his eyes widened. His brows furrowed as he tried to read me and then took a step back in shock.
" Surprise " Asheral laughed.
Yari’s eyes moved from me and landed on Lucian. His jaw dropped and he rushed to stand beside Asheral in fear.
