Chapter 308: DARK SERPENT SHIFTERS

Conri’s information made me angry and I could feel the way my beast roared at the defiance committed by the members of Serpent shifters. I spent hours in Governor Alexander Mansion library just mulling over everything. I knew it was not the right way but I needed some peace of my own. Hours later, I called Haida to inform her we were working late and sat down on the couch and tried to catch sleep. I knew that the minute I stepped foot in the villa, she would sense my fury.
Sleep eluded me as I tossed and turned on the couch. I slid out of bed and walked to the beach to listen to the mother sea and calm my body. The visions of Haida were the ones that calmed my body. By the time I approached the rocks on the beach, I was already deep in the water. Step by step I walked into the cold sea until my body was fully submerged as it welcomed me. All the tension in my body disappeared and I went underwater. By the time I walked out of the sea, dawn had set in. I walked out of the sea and I prayed to Mother Sea that everything would get better.
I walked back to the mansion and found Charry had arrived with a change of clothes.
" My Lord " She bowed. " Haida sent me over. "
" I don’t want to worry her, ’’ I murmured. " Summon the Sitka council urgently. I will be ready in one hour"
" Yes, My Lord " Charry responded and left.
Walking to the office an hour later. I found Elder Cynthia, Alexander, Charry, and the new Elders Kama, Mika, and Brem seated at the office and they were waiting for me.
" Greetings my Lord " They stood up in greeting.
