Chapter 238: STIRRING STORM
LOVITA ARIA’S POV
Standing by the beach with Ma, I paced around with uncertainty. I regretted challenging Conri Dolf under Ma’s whims, who felt that I was the rightful heir to become the pack’s Alpha.
Shame laced my heart when Conri made me the Beta of the Golden Shifter pack. After anchoring the boat that Ma had bought, I stared out into the ocean.
An hour later, Zeeb Elijah and Anisha Freki arrived with two strangers. Strom my wolf stirred with piqued interest, making me fall into a deep trance of silence. To deflect I drove the boat and decided not to listen in to their conversation until Zeeb introduced them. So the older one was Toten Stone, the HR of Due corporation, and the younger wolf was a new employee who had joined the Due corporation from the Golden Shifter pack John Tharn. I felt uneasy with the two of us accompanying us to the Island and stayed back when everything was being discussed. When Toten opted to drag John Tharn to assess the pearl farm, I remained behind until Storm roared and complained. I had no choice but to get out of the house and follow them closely.
I watched the two interact as Toten teased John Tharn and he seemed uncomfortable and stayed back. I could tell That Toten realized that I was following them by the fact that he turned around and stood in waiting. I slowed my steps and he raised his hand and yelled " Hurry up"
I watched the way John Tharn took advantage of the opportunity and rushed ahead escaping from Toten. When I got to the spot where he stood I raised one eyebrow and said " Why do you keep teasing him ?"
" Because it’s fun " He shrugged his shoulders. We stood staring at the sea and then Toten whispered " Why the fuck is my wolf whining when I am next to you?"
I chuckled and said, " I wondered why Storm was restless." I turned and stared down at him. He was just inches shorter than me and it made my wolf happy to be near him.
" The fucking Golden shifter pack will have a fit if they discover that our wolves are mates" Toten closed his eyes in frustration.
" Mates? " the words were out of my mouth in shock. " The three of us?"
" That is even more scandalous. He is a flirt and a young pup. What the hell are the moon gods thinking ?" Toten cursed and his eyes snapped open.
