CONRI’S POV
"They have drugged us. Help "The last words Freki pushed through the mind link.
I stood frozen at the construction site and the pat on my back snapped me out of it as Everest yelled, "What is wrong ?"
"Lucian is in danger. Someone drugged him and he had blacked out," I responded to Everest. I remained stoic as Dolf growled and my body shook with anger and terror. From a distance, I heard Everest making calls and in minutes, he pulled me towards his car and we sped off from the construction site.
"Zeeb tells me that Lucian went to the City Council Hall offices to follow up on the property agreement an hour ago," Everest spoke as he drove.
I closed my eyes and willed Dolf to calm down. Twenty minutes later, we arrived outside City Hall where Zeeb, Anisha, and Tala had arrived. Surprisingly, with the were Levi and Benjamin.
As we alighted from the car, Anisha rushed towards me. " I can’t sense him. I usually can do so since we share the same blood"
The hairs at the back of my neck rose and when I turned around, I sensed the presence of the Tizheruk. He was walking towards us, looking incognito, in a long black leather coat and sunglasses, and a hat.
"What happened? I sensed your fear from afar, " He whispered.
"Lucian is missing," I croaked. "The last message Freki sent was that someone had drugged them "
"What?" I heard Anisha gasp behind me.
