Chapter 66: FEAR
I left the office with worry laced in my mind. We drove to the construction site and my mind. I closed my eyes as fear washed all over my body and then heard Conri intrude on my mind and demand, "What is wrong? I can feel the fear and worry roaming all over you. Are you okay ?"
"No. I am not okay. "I responded.
"How far are you from the construction site?" Conri demanded.
"Five minutes away "I sighed.
Five minutes later, we approached the gate of the Construction site and found Conri pacing outside. The guards stared at him in wonder while Everest stood by the gate, looking worried. As our cars approached, Conri’s steps faltered and his hands tightened into fist. He approached the car as I alighted and then pulled me into an embrace.
"Calm down," I whispered and rubbed his back.
"How? You know we are connected. If you get worried Dolf will feel it, "Conri whispered and his voice vibrated on my neck.
I pushed him away and looked up at him. " We need to discuss something before we go to the KODA council"
He nodded and pulled me into the container office. Everest nodded and remained outside on guard. Once the door closed, I ran my fingers through my hair and heaved a sigh. Conri pulled me to the chair, sat down and pulled me into his laps.
"What is it lil pup?" He whispered affectionately while he rubbed my back.
"Conri, did you meet up with Keith Isla when you were in exile?" I asked.
