The day dragged on as work piled up. The remote office and the franchise business had so many demands. We needed to be innovating as a new competitor in the tech industry was emerging. I had requested Zeeb to find out how well we could partner with them.
A knock at the door and Anisha walked in to update me on the assets transfer process from Conri Dolf to me as the husband in joint custody.
"Lucian, the process of the asset transfer is almost done. Zeeb checked the land next to the Cinnabar mine and something fishy was going on. The Alaska land’s office refused to release the title deed as yet and they are now at loggerheads with our Zeeb. "
"So Conri’s deductions were right. It seems that Alpha Lobo is illegally mining in Conri’s land. "I stated
"We don’t have evidence that he is mining. We need to find the evidence first." Anisha asserted.
"Go to the city planning and licensing office and pretend to be clueless. Apply for the License to mine in Conri’s land. Let us see who objects first," I advised Anisha.
She nodded and left the office. Hours later, I felt Conri push his power into my mind and then the words came through "How was your day?"
At first, I was startled and then I grinned happily, leaned back on the seat, and closed my eyes. I responded, " It’s good to hear my husband’s voice. "
"You sound tired," He responded.
"I missed your husband. I plan to pick you up later after work so that we can go to the KODA council"
