Chapter 14: STIRRING TROUBLE
"You lied to him, " Zeeb smirked at Carter.
Carter’s mouth pulled into a thin line of displeasure, and he never uttered a word.
"I hope you all understand the reason I called for this urgent meeting. Declan, I am not pleased with how you handled this matter. And I want to make myself clear. I will never allow Alpha Lobo to own any shares in Due Corporation. " I asserted.
The shareholders looked scared and embarrassed, hence confirming the suspicion that Alpha Lobo had approached them with a similar offer.
"If you want to see the real Freki power, I dare anyone to do so." I seethed.
"Are you threatening us? "Carter retorted.
"Yes." I walked back to sit in my chair. "And because of your actions, Declan Brooks, I am going to recover the money you owe Due Corporation with your shares. Zeeb Elijah has just deposited one hundred million to pay off your loan. "
"You are bastard Lucian Freki, "Declan roared and stood up.
" Your attempt to transfer your shares to forfeit your loan is called fraud. I have no problem getting the police involved," I emphasized.
"What?" He whispered.
"It means five years in jail. And I know you have no money for bail or to hire a lawyer." Zeeb added to my statement.
