Chapter 479: The Leviathan King!
Victory was within their reach. Just a few seconds more, and the battlefield would have become one where humanity had completely overwhelmed the Leviathans, the monstrous creatures unable to face the might of the super powerhouses of the human race. But now, everything changed.
Just like the death of the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord had sent shockwaves across the entire battlefield, freezing everyone in their place with disbelief, the emergence of the newcomer from the obsidian obelisk shattered all semblance of momentum. The force of its arrival was palpable; the blow that sent the Xaos King hurtling through the air was a stark declaration. Everybody understood that a new, unfathomable power had entered the fray.
All eyes turned toward the entity that had blasted out of the unbreakable obelisk. It was a being beyond comprehension—a massive humanoid figure towering at three and a half meters, its entire form crafted from a material that mirrored the obsidian obelisk. Its muscular frame gleamed with jagged, volcanic glass-like chitin, intricate textures covering every surface. Sharp, reflective protrusions erupted from its shoulders, arms, and legs, forming an ancient and unyielding natural armor. The surface was layered with intricate patterns, giving it a raw, primal aesthetic. Its head was angular and menacing, with glowing red eyes embedded deep within its dark, reflective visage. The eyes burned like molten embers, radiating malice and primal power, while its crown-like structure gave it a regal yet fearsome appearance.
"ROOOOOOOAAARRRRRRR!"
The roar erupted from the Leviathan King, an unearthly cry as if telling the world it had arrived. It reverberated across the battlefield, silencing all other sounds for a moment as its sheer intensity struck deep into the hearts of every living being. Primal fear gripped every soldier, their instincts screaming warnings that their conscious minds struggled to ignore. They were in the presence of something far beyond them in the food chain—a predator of the highest order. It was not just another Leviathan; it was something greater than even the Leviathan Lords. It was unique, one of its kind—it was the Leviathan King!
After that unique roar, the Leviathan King’s eyes moved to his left, focusing on the one who had killed one of its kind’s Lords.
Overlord stood before him, an artificial intelligence at his core—an entity that was supposed to lack emotions. Yet, he had grown significantly thanks to his sentience and ability to evolve and adapt, allowing his core code to express what one could consider emotions. This was a major breakthrough for the A.I. Chip Clone, but right now, he wished he did not have it. Being under the gaze of that monster was the most horrifying experience of his life.
"BA-DOOM!"
A sonic boom shattered the air as the Leviathan King accelerated from a stationary position to move more than one thousand meters per second instantly, showcasing a level of acceleration that no one in the human army—or the entire world, for that matter—could equal.
